The funny thing is that there are so many tutorials on glitch effects that have come out after this one did which are all 10-15 minutes and completely useless
wow, that was the best AE tutorial ive ever experienced. finally someone who can actually teach me in 5 minutes or less. you just got yourself a big subscribe, austin
Duddeeee I know this video was made from 2 years ago but seriously man you don't know how long I took to find a clear explanation video of how to make a glitch effect like this, I just want to let you know that this video is very helpful .
If you're like me and don't know what precomposing is, put all of your glitched visuals in their own composition, then put that composition over your background
would anyone know how to keep my lighting settings the same after I do this effect in the precomposition stage? My object doesn't accept the lighting like it once did after I initiated this effect.
Excellent tutorial - I downloaded the stock footage of the screen glitch and made the adjustment layer react to that like you said. Worked like a charm. Very happy with the result. Thanks!
OMG dude. I had to use CS5 during this tutorial and you explained it so well that I managed to pull it off even though things were placed a bit different. Mine came out perfect!
Thank you for the video I was looking for this exact effect. Just wondering how I can control the speed of the displacement effect. I thought if I slow down the glitch stock, it would slow down the displacemenet, but that's not the case.
Love this! If I wanted another word to flicker with the original word in the glitch, how would I do this? For example: the word 'Good' flickering back and forth with the word 'Bad' Thanks in advance!
If you are using an image (or you cannot find the set channels tab), you have to drag set channels onto your image/text from the "effects & presets" menu. Great video though :)
This tutorial really is fun and all but you forgot to mention that this effect set channels only works effectively if your using white typography. Other wise this won't work properly
Thanks for watching! Make sure to subscribe to my other channel for Premiere Pro Tutorials! th-cam.com/users/austinnewman
