Every episode is perfect to me, every bit of music. The themes, character arcs theyre all some of the best that could possibly come from a form of media. And I will never be sick of this show and I still get emotional which isnt something I do often as im a stoic person but this show has attached itself to me in some way. The music is something I dont think is talked about enough and I think its better than star wars which is considered to have some of the best music in cinema history.

yh i love how zuko splits his arms and legs at 6:19, showing his character development with aang, there are so many details like that in the series, making it in my top 5 shows of all time
That is a great point of how poetic the final Agni Kai is. If Zuko was never banished he would never have been able to defeat Azula. It was all the experiences he was forced to go through after he was banished that gave him the skill and the peace of mind to win that fight.

I watched this when it was premiering in Nick. I remember watching the last episodes with my family, my father got emotional and was something rare for a kids cartoon
I watch this show through every year - and each time I enjoy it as if I was just first watching it and I learn or notice something new each watch-through.
I remember when I watched the whole series in order for the first time, I was so sad when it ended. It felt like a piece of my childhood had just passed and I still get that feeling today…
I love how at 6:19, he splits his arm and legs, reminiscent of an earth bender, showing his character development with aang, meanwhile azula is using strictly firebending forms.
Wonderfully well scripted video man. I could watch these “ATLA is amazing” videos all day. Just hearing all these different takes from different perspectives… so good
I love this show so much because of Aang and Zuko and how their actions show different ways of living life. Aang never worries about the future because he knows if he does he won’t be able to appreciate the now. While Zuko is completely different because he is always focused on the same task and lets it eat away at him and his way of life.

Fictional or not what the characters of this story go through is so profound yet familiar... I believe it shouldn't just be a film makers homework to watch this, to experience this work should be a requirement in all schools world wide. The lessons about forgiveness love determination.. are all the very lessons we need the most in our world today, as divded as it is.. were in our own war after all, the world is out of balance. And also Im Not sure you watch a anime called attack on titan if you do please make a video about it and if you have Not watched it yet then Pls Pls watch it its a good Show and has inspired from game of thrones and had good story line, depressed as heck, its super core etc etc
I'm at the part of the video where he is talking about the animals and there design... One issue I had in the the legend of Korra was the design of there spirits they just looked so uninspired like somebody just spilled a blob of ink on paper and gave it a face. In the last Airbender I will never forget koe, wan-shi-tong, haybye, the koi fish, or even the moment uaie came down from the moon to talk to aang when he was in the ocean. The design art was just incredible. Lok on the other hand the spirits were just completely uninspired
Just give it a little more time to this video (and your channel) to explode. The fandom will come, just like the ones commenting here have come to it. Great analysis!
I think this show is really great. But i think most people use wrong comparison material. A cartoon series can hardly be compared to a live action series because there are different things that indicate the quality and different things that stand out. Compared to western animation series, this is simply a masterpiece. But there are as example some really good anime series that are (in my opinion) easily at the same level and at some points way better. And i think many people say its good because there are so many yt videos saying its great, just go with the collective opinion. Im not saying its bad, but just there are more (animation) series that are just as good and better that dont get as much recognition in the western world
The reason Zuko went against his Father the moment he did was stated in the finale to be because he didn't want to go along with his father's thanos-like plan. But that's not the impression we get from watching the episode The Eclipse. Zuko didn't even mention to his father that he was angry with his father's Thanos-like plan when he decided to confront his father. It wasn't even hinted at in the conversation. I know the writers somehow thought it would make an interesting twist if it was revealed in the finale, but they should have foreshadowed it more. It just looks like the writers made up that twist at the very last moment.
I have the same problem with EnergyBending and, to a lesser extent, the Lion Turtle. Granted, the Lion Turtle was briefly mentioned twice before the finale so it didn't come completely out of nowhere but those mentions were throwaway lines that barely count as foreshadowing. As for EnergyBending, that was never foreshadowed at all so it's a deus ex machina. Thank goodness Legend of Korra made the effort to flesh it out more. As for Zuko's confrontation with Ozai, that was a character moment rather than a story moment. Zuko knew the plan because he was in the meeting but he also knew that trying to reason with Ozai was a lost cause. At its core, the confrontation was just Zuko's way of saying goodbye to his dad. He could have left without a word and it ultimately wouldn't have made a difference but he spent so long trying to win Ozai's love that he needed closure before moving on. Regardless of how evil Ozai is, he's still Zuko's father.
@@tomnorton4277 Maybe Zuko was stupid not to tell Aang about the plan for the comet, or maybe the reason why Zuko didn't tell Aang was because the writing was rushed. Maybe the writers came up with that plot about the comet at the very last moment. As for Zuko's confrontation with Ozai, that was a character moment rather than a story moment. That's the problem. These two things should go hand in hand. That scene could have been used to hint that Ozai was planning something big. Zuko would have eventually spoken to his father about what he really thought about that plan involving the comet if he really felt ashamed about not speaking up about it in the war meeting.
@@williamfinch9858 Sozin's comet was planned from the start. Ozai's exact plan for how to use it may have been a later addition but the comet itself was mentioned in Season 1 so even if the writers hadn't planned exactly HOW to use it, they knew they were going to use it to power up the Fire Benders.
Looking forward to your next videos on this series. I couldn't stop nodding my head in agreement with the points you made. Can I ask if you have ever watched an anime called Ping Pong? If you haven't I think it would resonate with you based off the points you made around the 13:00 mark (i.e bouncing back, hard work not paying off, recovering, growing from mistakes and failures.).
Avatar Korra (or aang): I can bend earth, fire, air, water, and spirit to the degree where I can move landmasses, generate blazes that span entire countries, create tsunamis at will, and conjure hurricane level storms at will, manipulate the blood in your body, telekinetically shape and fling metal, hurl streams of magma, manipulate and direct lightning, and even control and tap into the energies of spirits and their realm! What can you do, "space traveller"? Me: that's....adorable. I can twist and shape the very fabric of reality in any way I desire to the degree where I can traverse the cosmos in an instant. I can manipulate the flow of time, slowing it down, stopping it, speeding it up, and even make it run backwards. Because of this, I can see every event that took place in the past, present, and future across the cosmos in real time. I can control entropy and thus I am functionally immortal. I can bend light and manipulate it to the degree where I can harness the power of the stars to generate world destroying beams of energy. My light manipulation allows me to see in different spectrums of light so you cannot hide from me. I can use my reality and light bending powers to block any physical or energy attack you can throw at me. My light bending allows me to turn invisible and make other objects or people invisible. And last but not least, I can freaking time travel!
Had Zouko just been allowed to follow his own path from the beginning - had not been banished in the way he was, the series would have had a rather different beginning to his relationships with Team Avatar.
the creators could've very well animated Sozin's Comet to be in a 16:9 aspect ratio but instead saw advantage in using the same old 4:3! not because 16:9 was too new in 2008 but so people could view the finale as being part of the rest of the series like any other episode!
After watching this, I was looking through your videos to find your LOK video. Will you be doing that? I’m very interested to hear your thoughts on it. LOK isn’t bad, I love the background and development, although some parts were very disappointing.
I would only slightly disagree with your statement about katara as a character, because i think she is more than just a constant for the others and mainly to influence others to change i think katara has a great character arc in season three, because her anger and hurt feelings are tested from the very first episode on, we see that she is not "perfect" when she gets furious at sokka and by that breaks an iceberg, which could lead them to trouble and since toph joins she has problems to deal with her but most interesting it gets when she learns bloodbending and later on uses it one time out of pure hatred and revenge and almost wants to kill also how she threatens zuko at first i love what they do with her anger issues especially in season 3, because witn betrayals from jet and zuko later of course her good nature is a little bit hurt by that i love to see her character later on becoming so strong, but also being so hurt and vulnerable and with that she is to me a very interesting character that has her dark Sides too which are greatly explored in the souther raiders other than that great points and thanks for the video 😊
10:00 not for me, I like Iroh, but he isn’t my favorite character at all, not even in my top 5. 11:30 my favorite past avatar is Roku, but my favorite avatar in general is Korra and Roku is after her.

No unfortunately I haven't, don't watch too much anime but I'm glad you agreed :)
Great work as always
Thanks!
the creators could've very well animated Sozin's Comet to be in a 16:9 aspect ratio but instead saw advantage in using the same old 4:3! not because 16:9 was too new in 2008 but so people could view the finale as being part of the rest of the series like any other episode!
I totally agree
Im surprised this has less views than it should, I'm using this video for my speech in speech class!
Awesome!
I ENJOYED EVERY PART OF THOSE 23MIN 61 EPISODES
UNDERRATED video!
hey! what do you use to make your videos? the render is so crispy what are your settings?
Nothing fancy in particular I just convert it 1080 minimum :)
I agree
After watching this, I was looking through your videos to find your LOK video. Will you be doing that? I’m very interested to hear your thoughts on it. LOK isn’t bad, I love the background and development, although some parts were very disappointing.
I would only slightly disagree with your statement about katara as a character, because i think she is more than just a constant for the others and mainly to influence others to change
i think katara has a great character arc in season three, because her anger and hurt feelings are tested
from the very first episode on, we see that she is not "perfect" when she gets furious at sokka and by that breaks an iceberg, which could lead them to trouble
and since toph joins she has problems to deal with her
but most interesting it gets when she learns bloodbending and later on uses it one time out of pure hatred and revenge and almost wants to kill
also how she threatens zuko at first
i love what they do with her anger issues especially in season 3, because witn betrayals from jet and zuko later of course her good nature is a little bit hurt by that
i love to see her character later on becoming so strong, but also being so hurt and vulnerable
and with that she is to me a very interesting character that has her dark Sides too which are greatly explored in the souther raiders
other than that great points and thanks for the video 😊
Hands down the best animated series of all time.
