Wait, Love Will Set You Free did better than Norway, who wasn’t automatically qualified for the final, so shoudlnt it’s percentage be made out of 42 and not 26?
@@Jai05 Valid point! But I decided that a pre-qualified entry needs to place above the lowest placing country from both semifinals to get counted along with all participating entries. I think it’s fair in most cases, especially in this case. But the years of 2006 and 2015 are a little unfair because for instance No No Never, Alvedansen and Amenecer are all counted with only the finalists.
Very mixed bag of songs and a bit disappointing knowing how great British music is in general. I would say that Cliff Richard was one of the biggest current names they sent and I really like him a lot. The ones I really like are Imaani, Jessica Garlick, Sam Ryder, Scott, Katrina and the Waves. The songs by Lindsay de Paul and Shadows are annoying but I like the performers, the songs by Emma, Josh and Joe&Jake are not good but likeable, deserved better result: Olly, Mae, Lucy, Molly, Frances Ruffelle, well deserved turkey: James Newman, mega-annoying hits: Brotherhood of Man, Bucks Fizz, Lulu, Sandy Shaw, silliest looking band; Bardo, classiest staging: Jade Ewen; black and white era songs don't do it for me at all and they disappoint me most compared what England was producing at the time. I never entirely dismiss the UK at Eurovision but it's not my favourite country.
Jokes aside, UK has its own class and their style in most years is very intresting and great for Eurovision.
First half of the video: 1999-present
Second half: 1957-1998😂😂😂😂
By the way... Frances Ruffelle and Lucie Jones so LOW?????????????? So underrated😢
@@Pena1306 Hahah yes no other country has such a abrupt downfall as the UK. And I agree with Lucie, but I can’t stand We will be free 😅 sorry!
