Long time fan, she had a huge influence in my music taste. When i was 12 and below i only listen to stuff on the radio that was the only thing i know. Chelsea Wolfe was one of my first artists that has opened me up to a world of other genres and underground music in general.
I listen to Metal since I was a child and I am barely into other genres. But when I listened to Chelsea Wolfe for the first time, I immediately fell in love with her sound. Now that she seems to add more and more Metal elements to her range, I can't wait for more stuff to come. Her voice is simply unique and breathtaking.
There was a huge summer storm coming up the other day. Opened the windows and put this on full blast as if the world about to end. It really does get better with a every uptwist of the volume controll.
Saw this notification and couldn't even really believe it was true. Really looking forward to this album! However, I have to say that it sounds pretty straight-forward drone/metal compared to her previous work. I loved Abyss' heavyness, but I'm a bit sceptical about those newer tracks (The Culling, Static Hum, ...). However, Chelsea never disappointed me so far and I'm sure I'll just have to get used to it and I will love Hissspun.

She performed in Nebraska recently. Amazing. Aspects of her vocals come out live that you can't get from recordings. Her music is compellingly unsettling.

I have all of her albums via iTunes and will definitely get the new one when it comes out. I love music that's innovative, challenging but melodic and doesn't fit into any easy category. Love her voice.
I feel like i can hear some black metal influence ever so slightly in some of Chelsea’s songs, I think she has said she takes influence from the atmospheric element of black metal, the white noise and desperate strained vocals. And like black metal, it’s like my body temperature drops and I feel physically cold when I listen to her music. She’s truely an artist.
I always thought Chelsea's sound was good but I couldn't get into her even though I tried, but when I listened to Iron Moon, Survive and Carrion Flowers I totally fell for her. And now this, I'm really hoping for a full doom metal album by her.
Can I just say how fucking amazing is that every album she makes gets heavier? I mean I loved the sad ballands in her first albums but this is MIND-BLOWING
