Could be tons of specific factors. No one true answer. I’d just put a blanket blame over the fact that marching band is becoming a luxury that many can’t afford in the SoCal area nowadays.
@@ChristianBanas Marching band is definitely affordable here in SoCal. My best guess would be that an overall interest in marching band is dropping in the west coast. Texas is a whole other story. Just for a comparison, the biggest band there has about 800 members. Sad to see it happen! Might have to move to Texas, haha!

They're definitely smaller than they were in the early 2000's but do keep in mind that this is just varsity. JV adds another ~70 kids.
