My review of the Cold Steel Bush Ranger folder. This would be my recommendation if you’re going to go past $100 on a folder however, there are plenty of budget alternatives listed in the text box. Enjoy! :]
So all these years I've always wondered do you keep all the blades or do you know of a good way to sell new blade's?? I'm a knife hoarder but know of a few expensive limited runs I can part with..
I think the best place would be Ebay, I used to sell other collectibles there back in the day, it took up a lot of time though, so now I'm a hoarder, too.
4 years later, I just found this knife on sale & got it shipped for $52.89. Wow, I'm really looking forward to it! Thanks for the info, even though I'm way late! 😆
I agree this is a top level outdoor folding knife. The spine it has on it is one of the best in my collection for fire starting. One of my go to work knives.
A lil late to the party and I'm sure that it's been mentioned though the thumb plate may also be used in the same manner as the wave feature on the Emerson(Also through a licensing agreement, with Kershaw). This is a great hard use blade as I love the grip and the blade is excellent, though I ground the tip down a smidgeon as I prefer a flat upper edge versus the "swoop" of a bowie design. I own a bar and machining company, so my daily knife activities include myriad duties that long ago voided any warranties. That said, I rotate the Bush Ranger, AD15 along with the Himderer XM-24 Spanto, with the 15 getting about 1/2 the pocket time and the BR about a third. While all three knives are beasts, between the Triad along with the contoured grip, the BR is a superb heavy user🤙 Continued Success🍻 RP
Great rotation. I have a Strider and Sebenza, but I have not gotten a Hinderer yet, it is on my list though, I'd probably have one by now if I owned some businesses like you!
As a rock-solid folder, my Bush Ranger gets a lot of pocket time. Outstanding knife! A couple months ago I pulled the Bush Ranger out of my pocket and it unexpectedly deployed on me. That's when I suspected the thumb-opener may act like Emerson's "wave-opening feature." A little online snooping revealed that others have had similar experiences. Not sure if there was intent behind the Bush Ranger design -- because I practiced a bit & can "wave it open" rather consistently.
Do you know if this has inset metal liners? I can hardly believe that it would be rigid enough without liners not to mention that without liners the pocket clip might snap off.
I gotta give one of those a try and the lite version also , just think they should have made it a 4" instead of a 3 1/2" But I'll manage to get around that design fault.
Usualy ; "Really nice; looks like micarta" .. mshould mean: "Shit; made it look like but is not Micarta, how mean and stupid is that !" That's my opinion. Also I'm convinced that with slightly textured micarta and a blackened, same blade "it would sell better - and it would become "instantly" known. Now it is still largly ignored and just dissmissed like an ugly cheep supermarked gardening tool...
@blindmelonlemonjello They are folded steel with a carbon steel blade. They have a very strong backspring and it almost feels like a lock back when opened. You need to be very careful when closing them or they will cut your fingers off! (Think Guillotine)😳
@@13bravoredleg18 I had a Mecrcator cat knife when young, my first locking pocket knife. A French friend bought me a Douk Douk back from France several years ago. Wow! I agree with you - simpler, sharper and watch out for that back spring!
My EDC since it came out! Hell of a knife!
Excellent! It's definitely going in my permanent rotation.
do you think it carries better in the pocket than say the ad15?
You still use it? Are you happy long term?

@@WeAllJuggleKnives lmao thanks for the response brother, TRUE STORY!!(;
Really liking this one. I laughed when you talked about our spending limits changing the deeper we get into collecting! 😂 So true!

Great score!
My Bush Ranger is one of my favorite Cold Steels!! Great looking blade!! Great video my friend!! Enjoying your channel

Great to hear your experienced testimonial as a fellow user!
A 100% excellent knife AND, on sale as we speak (11/11/24) for SIXTY BUCKS at Midway USA, bro, get another!!!
Yep ordered one from midway yesterday.
@bokkenwielderful It's become the "best" utility EDC I've ever had!!!

I just remembered this channel. Why dont I ever see your videos in my fees anymore?
Hey buddy. TH-cam doesn't like knives very much. Click on the notification bell icon, this increases the chance of not missing a video.

Another feature that could come in handy in sticky situations!

👍 Very good video. Why did you select the Cold Steel Bush Ranger over the Cold Steel AD10?
Thanks! Demko is a legend for sure, but back when I got this I don't think the AD10 was available yet, or if it was, I had not seen it yet.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives Thank you for your reply. It helped me make a decision.
A sadly underrated knife.
Yet another great review of a great knife!

For sure it is a great knife. Thank you for showing.
Welcome, buddy!
nice. i did not know that there was a s35vn of this one. I will look in to this on.thanks
Glad I could help
It was hard to tell but does it have steel liners under the handle scales?
No, not even partial liners on this one.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives
I bought one for $103 yesterday.
Cold Steel all the way.
Great video. Love Cold Steel products
Thanks, my friend!
Just curious; what is the reason for eating one onion a day?
It just adds flavor, I steam cook them with some other vegetables and it makes them taste better.
Very nice! On my list.
How do you cook your onion? or do you eat it raw?
I usually steam cook inside a baking tin with some vegetables.
Do you know if this is more pocketable or edc-able than the ad15?
I think it is, because the handle is smoother.
WeAllJuggleKnives thanks
A lot for knife for the money then too many others. Thanks
Welcome, thanks for watching :]
$400 Canadian with tax and shipping think I'll pass
Yeah prices are high up there, I'm sure it's crazy expensive in Sweden, Germany, too.
Even regular US price with taxis $300 Canadian. That's way too expensive for G10 and a knife blade.

I just carry a Giant Douk-Douk... It'll slice anything to ribbons!😝
I have one of those Mercator knives, but I'll have to look for a giant sized Douk-Douk.
Ive looked at those knives so many times . what are the materiels its made of? Like just a folded sheet metal handle? Carbon steel blade?

@WeAllJuggleKnives
For me, a Douk-Douk will always be sharper and simpler than a Mercator.
