During the time of ULFA and insurgency crisis, the Army confiscated many such machines and many were lost in combat and other things. The ULFA boys used to trust and use the machine which fitted perfectly on the soil, air and water condition of Assam. There was an instance when a RX was buried in sands near a riverine island to hide it from the security forces and after two weeks the found the location and started it, which actually started and growled. This bike is nostalgia, the approaching sound made us aware that either Pa or Uncle was arriving home from office every evening and we were always egarly waiting for the sound and the snacks and sweets Pa or Uncle brings for us every evening. The young college lad with Zubeen Garg's hairstyle, the longer version, would zoom in the highways in winter. The newly wedded couples looked good in the machine, personally I remember sitting near the tank and feeling the fresh air of the pothar or countryside with my Pa.

Good One ..Rx owners Will damn feel it...But I have a suggestion ..the bike used here is not a perfect Rx ..mudguard color etc ..lot of alterations...I still have an 1991 Rx almost 95 percent pure Yamaha .....spending more than 15 k per year to keep it intact and pristine ..just like one of my body part
