This could be a solution to my problem. I bought the Triangle AIO Twins. Unfortunately they produce a squeaking sound (bit like coil whine) which is very distracting.
It has good mid-bass performance but pairing these with a decent subwoofer would be the way to go as the low-end cutoff could be distracting to some people. They still sound good overall though.
Great review thank you I was looking at using these as PC speakers as they are active and have their own internal DAC (so a nice neat all in one solution). However I am unsure if I can use headphones with them as there is no obvious headphone jack out (Like in the front mounted Audioengine HD3 noted at 7.44). Anyone know how I can do this as I do NOT want to plug into the PC itself ?
Great sounding speakers, Slightly annoying tho that these dont auto power on when I turn my TV on via AUX, something my cheap Creative T20's did no problem
How do they perform connected with USB, in particular with MacBook Pro? I heard they if they don't audio for 20 mins they turn off and don't turn off? I'm interested in attaching them with Dell U2723QE display connected to my MacBook via a Thunderbolt 4 cable.
@@rocky258258did you trial a few? I’m trialling the much lauded triangle AIO twins but difficult to tell if they’re £700 worth of audio to my ears without a reference point. Might pick up the M20s to test against.

i havnt read through anyone elses comments as i havnt had the time YET, i will , i have just purchased these speakers , , and have just seen a negative comment on the amazon page , no EQ, , that for me is a massive no go , as i am trading in my denon amp and wharfedale speakers, to save on space , and to be honest im not the most BT user. so i wont be streaming much music from a phone or other device, , is there a solution for this , or could you recommend speakers that are just as good , but have EQ built in , ? great video thankyou , any advice and help would be much apprciated. thank you
Thanks for the review! I want to buy the M20 speakers, but I am worried about what I read regarding the power saving feature. I want to connect them to my TV, via Bluetooth (or optical). As I understand, after 20 minutes of no sounds coming to speakers, they enter in standby mode. In the manual it only says you can wake them via the remote control or the controls on the main speaker. Is it true? I mean, don't they just turn on if signal/sounds come back to them? Because if it's so... I will have to give up on them. I wanted them to "just work" whenever I start my TV, or my movie, or play some music, without me needing to wake them. Can you please confirm this issue? Thanks again!
I own a pair. They need to be manually brought out of standby by either pressing the button on the primary speaker or by using the remote. An input signal will not work.
@@MonkY2k2 I agree. Apparently, you can thank the EU for that as they are mandating this behavior from manufacturers. I have a set of KEF EGGs with the same issue. That being said, as with the KEFs, you might just have to ignore that shortcoming as they're likely the best speakers you're going to find without spending crazy money.
@@larryh9525 it's actually a good thing the EU requires manufacturers to use standby mode when not in use. The problem is most of them won't use the wake-up features too. I've had to choose between the M20 from Q Acoustics, the A5+ Wireless from Audioengine, Kanto YU6 and some Edifiers (R1855DB if I'm correct). From all of them, only the M20 had the standby issue, so... I ended up with the Edifiers. Which, for the same money, I even got a T5 subwoofer included. Fun fact: i hooked them all to a Fiio BTA30 Pro Bluetooth receiver with standby feature (i liked the sound spectrum way more than using the default speaker's DAC), and now they all wake-up as soon as I turn on my TV or switch between audio outputs. I love the switch option as now I can actually compare 3 sound profiles from 3 audio systems in a matter of seconds - my TV speakers, my 5.1 surround system (Yamaha receiver + PSB), and my 2.1 Edifiers. And might sound really strange, but the Edifiers surprised me (in a good way - specially for how much the whole setup costs).
@@MonkY2k2 I'm glad you found a solution. For me, I would have gone with the M20s, and like with the KEFs, just had to deal with turning them on manually when hooked up to a TV. However, I did notice that with BT, the KEFs did come on as soon as my computer connected to them. I wonder if some newer TVs that work with BT would auto-turn on the KEFs. Since I like to have music on when I enter a room, I typically will stream something from Qobuz on them even when I'm gone to stop them from turning off. BTW, for music streaming, are you familiar with the Wiim Mini Hi-Res music streamer. The sound, if you have a streaming service (Qobuz, Tidal, Amazon, etc...) is excellent when using its optical out to an optical in on a DAC.

More curious about how they compare to the YU6 really because they are the same price point with the same size drivers. YU4s are cheaper and smaller
