I add garlic and salt to my frozen bait fish. I think catfish have something garlic. sometimes I mince up shrimp into that paste and coat them. that seems to work too.
Can you use salted water in ice cubes? Salted water freezes at a lower temperature than fresh water so it would speed up freezing your fish. A 10-percent salt solution freezes at 20 degrees Fahrenheit and a 20-percent solution freezes at 2 degrees Fahrenheit. The only potential problem that occurs to me is that maybe you can't set the freezer temperature that low.
Man I just put the bait in the freezer like nothing I had some for about 3 weeks and I decided to use it yesterday and caught a 3foot gar and a 5 foot gar and missed a lot .
Thank you for showing the salt slurry. I had never heard of it, but I can see the benefits. Now I need to talk hubby into a new vacuum sealer. LOL!
Just bought a Vacuum sealer! Thank you for the video!

Just started keeping pan fish An vacuumed selling theemk
I have to get one of those
Is the salt necessary? What does it do?
It quickly lowers temp. Salt and ice will be colder than just ice and water. Works with beer also.
