Dhokla and Khaman are two different items. Dhoklas are harder while Khaman is spongy and fluffy. The taste also differs due to the texture. They also have different seasoning which separates them. A newbie an easily confuse between them.
You are right. Normal Dhokla is mostly made with Rice whereas Khaman Dhokla has a mix of rice and chickpeas. Baking methodology is same for both hence both are called Dhokla. Khaman Dhokla has its distinction.
Normal dhokla is made with rice and cheakpeas gram floor. Khaman is strictly chickpeas Strictly rice is called Idli 😂 God Gujarati se zyada to baasi sab state ke log in comments pe accuracy dene ki koshish kar rhe hai.

Same ingredients for many forms of food, almost like food metamorphosis! Gujaratis took vegetarian food to the next level, it's nothing less than any great art.
Gujarati food is not spicy. It's actually bit sweet. But if you move towards south Gujarat, I.e. Kathiyawaad, it will be spicy. Kathiyawaadi food is spicy, Gujarati food is bit sweet.
Indian street food looks so fantastic ..if a bright Indian brings that to the Europe and makes it real ..they will take the marked ..have one place in Oslo Norway that have some street food items on the menu and a real tandori oven ...and it is hard to get a seat at that place

When you started popping all those peppers in your mouth my jaw dropped and stayed there . Wow I bet they were impressed since I’m guessing they probably assume all foreigners can’t handle spicy food . Heck I’m from Minnesota and people joke that we think salt is spicy 😂 I like spicy food though . Really cool video ! They’re breakfast looks so much more interesting and flavorful then western breakfast!
I would love it if you visit the villages of Udwada and Sanjan in Gujarat. These places are historic and the first places in India where the Iranian Zoroastrians settled
