First show I was allowed up, past 9:30 on a school night, to watch! After watching the pilot, on a school break, I managed to convince my Mom, that I couldn't just miss the last half, every single week (no VCR), and she gave in, lol.
I always assumed Hunter lived and died on Saturday 10/9c , never knew it spent it's early years in the middle of a Tuesday... Stingray is rerunning on a Digital subchannel called 'Ace'... w/ only 24 episodes it loops fairly quickly I think Hunter is on 3 or 4 such channels (Charge, Z Living come to mind) with each seemingly confining it to specific blocks so it doesn't overlap/compete with itself
I remember this year! NBC was still kicking butt, ABC was trying to bounce back from their 1984 third place slump, and CBS was beginning to lose its long-time edge.
My dad really liked PERFECT STRANGERS (don't be redicilos!!) I recall a hubbub of the show MARY depicting the name of a real life Newspaper, and had to change the name to the Eagle. I also recall St. Elsewhere (greatest show EVER!!) was opposite THE Equalizer and they were killing ST. Eligius in the ratings!!
Awwwww the 80s, the beginning of the end of network tv. Thank god I had cable , BET and HBO by then. My dad thought Miami Vice was the sh_t until he was exposed to cable.
That Equalizer intro still fills me with terror. The music, the chilling scenarios - really effective.
That sax player made a ton of cash playing on all these show intros....
I remember all these as thought they were on just last week. That's crazy! Thanks for this.
Moonlighting is an absolute classic!!!!!!!!!!!
Until Dave and Maddie got together. Downhill from there. Kinda like Sam and Diane on Cheers.

I remember all of these shows and I was only 5 years old. Mr.T was my hero lol
Hunter...only got to watch that when Dad was in charge.
Oh Balki "Don't be ridiculous!"
Don’t forget the Meposian Dance of Joy! 🤣😂🤣
The A-Team, Hunter, Spenser For Hire, and The Equalizer. An action packer night for sure.

Good Lord, my mother thought Fred Dryer was the sexiest thing on two legs.

Who's the Boss, Perfect Strangers, A-Team, and Hunter? they weren't messing around in '86
TONY DANZA
Also
4:21 CAPTAIN BENJAMIN LAFAYETTE "THROATSLASHER" SISKO
But don't let all that distract you from the fact that 8:53
@ 8:54 - 10:25 (A-Team intro)
*SOLO POR TELEMUNDO*
perfect strangers theme song sounds like a 2023 spoof on an 80s show, so much cheese and schlock
At NBC, Tuesday night was Cannell's night.
have heard that tony danza and alyssa milano are going to team up to do an updated all new version of who's the boss??
*There's Moonlighting! The only show to debut in 1986 that was worth watching (and the only one I **_did_** watch!*
Moonlighting debuted in 1985.
When did Perfect Strangers move to Friday night?
jokerswildfan1972 around March 1988.
Tuesday Night
Shows That Didn't Make It:
Spencer for Hire
Morningstar/Eveningstar
Mary
N.Y.C Foley Square
The Equalizer
Hunter
Stingray
Vomit inducing. The 80s sucked for television.
Compared to what??? 😆
