I'm not interested in a diet that would work for me but cause problems to my kids or their kids or few generations down the line. There are thousands of variations of indigenous diets that have worked 100s if not 1000s of years. And ZERO of them are vegan. Why would our human ancestors go through the trouble of hunting and raising animals for meat and dairy if it was not essential for survival and fitness of the tribe? There are 1000s of indigenous diets to choose from which have proven themselves to work. I chose carnivore because it's the simplest. I cook once a week, eat once a day and be totally fine. Even if I were to stop this, I would pick another indegenous diet, with animal products intact.

I'm angry at Frank frankly. Personally, I haven't found a way to feel healthy aka I feel like shet everyday, but I want to watch what he is trying to pass as being. Not what he is, but what he could be. But his lack of rigor and attitude towards research, caveats, being careful, pisses me off. And even though he needs a lot more self schooling in nutrition and biochemistry, he tries to pass as this all knowing guru that does more research and work than everyone else. Bottom line he's very untrustworthy.

@@Ramiromasters I enjoy seeing SOME of what Frank is doing, I also enjoy the logs and updates that Mikaela Peterson does too, for example, even though she is too ready to jump the gun in some topics (Not sure if that's how you use that phrase.) Sv3dge went off the deep end so I dont go there. I end up taking advice from moderates like Stephan Guyanette more than anyone else, and then just experimenting on my own. I'm having a hard time just finding enough foods I can eat for a day without feeling like shet, getting digestive upset, pain, etc. I cannot with Frank's double face, lack of rigor, lack of integrity, and cherry picking. I sincerely hope he turns a new leaf, because he has a growing channel in his hands that has good potential, plus I like his demeanor/way he communicates and I even like his skits. I find them funny. You guys do realize there’s a pretty significant portion of people who can’t consume many vegetables/legumes/fruits etc without a really bad reaction, right? The thing I truly don’t get is it seems like many people think people want the carnivore diet and enjoy it... I have never met one single person who enjoys the carnivore diet. I’m on it and I fucking hate it. I miss the hell out of so many foods, but for whatever reasons my body can consume beef, eggs, liver, and tallow fine, but doesn’t even consume certain fish, certain meat and pretty much no vegetables, fruits, dairy, or anything with sugar pretty much. Also it’s not in anyway clear the diet itself is unhealthy. There’s plenty of channels on TH-cam alone with doctors doing the diet for a number of months and doing a full blood panel and other tests and having results coming back with actually good results, some have high LDL, but the research in LDL is rather weak. I think it’s a safe assumption to say carnivore diet is healthy to at least a selective few people, which just happens to be the people on the diet. No I’m willing restricts their intake to this level unless it’s the only option.

She was still pretty active and considered to be healthier than people 10-20 years younger. So not a pure carnist, but definitely closer to that than vegan and outlived Wareham by 18 years.

Idk why people are so obsessed with live debates anyway, anyone with half a brain knows live debates are not a good way to figure out what is true or not, because in a live setting you only have whatever information you happened to bring with you, making you completely unable to fact check anything that the other party decides to pull out of their ass unless you just so happen to have something in your notes about that specific subject, which is unlikely, as people can literally pull anything out of their asses. And if someone cites a study, you cant stop in the middle of the debate and read through the study and examine its validity in being used to support whatever it is being used to support, youd just have to have read that specific study out of thousands, LUCKYYY. There is too much information out there, and the subjects people want live debates in are far too complex for a life debate to be any good at figuring out what is true and what is not. Maybe people have already decided for themselves what is true and just want a spectacle, a pseudofight where they can root for their favourite team, instead of the pursuit of truth just a sport where who is right is decided by who has the slicker tongue, who deals with a stressful situation better, and who just happened to get lucky with what they read in prior. Back and forth response videos, where each person has as much time as they need to formulate their response, are much better at figuring out what is true and what is not, than a live debate ever will be.

He says that vegans "take so many supplements" (when most of us take only B12, and some might also take vitamin D), but he promotes some supplements himself, like vitamin D and cod liver oil. However, the most available food was probably gathered (fruits, nuts, berries, wild vegetables). But I do think it's dishonest to call cavemen vegans... Vegan means a completely meat-free diet. If early humans had more access to meat and there wasn't a high fatality rate during hunts, meat would have been consumed much more. Veganism is an active choice usually not something forced by environmental factors.

ngl i grew up vegetarian and then vegan, and i heavily heavily wish my parents raised me on a more traditional diet... i've had horrendous gut/hormonal problems growing up and they only started to improve when i started eating meat lol... (was super hard at first) Your formative years are VITAL to your overall quality of life in the future, and i know it's anecdotal at best but i do think growing up vegetarian or vegan is terrible.... Maybe it'd be more viable if i was popping 40 pills a day for vitamins but i never got that.

Why would our human ancestors go through the trouble of hunting and raising animals for meat and dairy if it was not essential for survival and fitness of the tribe? There are 1000s of indigenous diets to choose from which have proven themselves to work. I chose carnivore because it's the simplest. I cook once a week, eat once a day and be totally fine. Even if I were to stop this, I would pick another indegenous diet, with animal products intact.

You guys do realize there’s a pretty significant portion of people who can’t consume many vegetables/legumes/fruits etc without a really bad reaction, right? The thing I truly don’t get is it seems like many people think people want the carnivore diet and enjoy it... I have never met one single person who enjoys the carnivore diet. I’m on it and I fucking hate it. I miss the hell out of so many foods, but for whatever reasons my body can consume beef, eggs, liver, and tallow fine, but doesn’t even consume certain fish, certain meat and pretty much no vegetables, fruits, dairy, or anything with sugar pretty much.
Also it’s not in anyway clear the diet itself is unhealthy. There’s plenty of channels on TH-cam alone with doctors doing the diet for a number of months and doing a full blood panel and other tests and having results coming back with actually good results, some have high LDL, but the research in LDL is rather weak. I think it’s a safe assumption to say carnivore diet is healthy to at least a selective few people, which just happens to be the people on the diet. No I’m willing restricts their intake to this level unless it’s the only option.

She was still pretty active and considered to be healthier than people 10-20 years younger. So not a pure carnist, but definitely closer to that than vegan and outlived Wareham by 18 years.

Idk why people are so obsessed with live debates anyway, anyone with half a brain knows live debates are not a good way to figure out what is true or not, because in a live setting you only have whatever information you happened to bring with you, making you completely unable to fact check anything that the other party decides to pull out of their ass unless you just so happen to have something in your notes about that specific subject, which is unlikely, as people can literally pull anything out of their asses. And if someone cites a study, you cant stop in the middle of the debate and read through the study and examine its validity in being used to support whatever it is being used to support, youd just have to have read that specific study out of thousands, LUCKYYY.
There is too much information out there, and the subjects people want live debates in are far too complex for a life debate to be any good at figuring out what is true and what is not.
Maybe people have already decided for themselves what is true and just want a spectacle, a pseudofight where they can root for their favourite team, instead of the pursuit of truth just a sport where who is right is decided by who has the slicker tongue, who deals with a stressful situation better, and who just happened to get lucky with what they read in prior.

However, the most available food was probably gathered (fruits, nuts, berries, wild vegetables). But I do think it's dishonest to call cavemen vegans... Vegan means a completely meat-free diet. If early humans had more access to meat and there wasn't a high fatality rate during hunts, meat would have been consumed much more. Veganism is an active choice usually not something forced by environmental factors.

To be honest, this is the type of (hopefully) civil controversy that the nutrition movement needs. Richard and Frank are, in some sense, the top media outlets in their respective positions on diet. I think that these two debating each other will spark enough interest in the game to get more media attention and perhaps more information and studies on dietary practices so people can make informed decisions on which path to take in their diet and lifestyle.
Looking forward to another debate with VG vs Frankie Boy, particularly on a topic that would involve vitamin absorption. By the way, for those interested, Dr. Garth Davis and Bart Kay are having a debate next Saturday!

ngl i grew up vegetarian and then vegan, and i heavily heavily wish my parents raised me on a more traditional diet... i've had horrendous gut/hormonal problems growing up and they only started to improve when i started eating meat lol... (was super hard at first)
Your formative years are VITAL to your overall quality of life in the future, and i know it's anecdotal at best but i do think growing up vegetarian or vegan is terrible....
Maybe it'd be more viable if i was popping 40 pills a day for vitamins but i never got that.
