The girls footage in the hair parlour was taken around 1922. In 1922, a brief fashion was used by flappers - very short skirts(for the time). It was not a fashion standard for the time but they were FLAPPERS so... the hemline dropped more for 1923 and flappers short skirts were over - only to return in 1926 as a fashion standard.

My great grandmother was a flapper...she said she scandalized her mother by wearing lipstick and riding in the car with a boy!
