I think I see where barbatos dragon king conversion kit got its inspiration from. And I love me some ibo, but I like this better than the resin kit.
Very sad they changed the head and shoulders. The thing is, they actually changed it before (this is the third and final design) and some buyers remained loyal and renewed their pre-orders because the previous changes were still acceptable. But suddenly this new head with 'black hair and crown' design came out without warning and people were shocked and angry. Those people who pre-ordered for over a year felt betrayed. It's like you ordered an Optimus Prime but then you received a truck robot with a Mickey Mouse head. They are so flooded with cancellations that Motor Nuclear had to extend the processing deadline to after the Chinese New Year, and other buyers are scared of the unknown changes to MNQ-01.
Also: The chest design looks like a gigantic face that reminds me of Billy the puppet from the movie 'Saw' lol. Those red vents on the chest are the 'eyes', the sternum is the nose and the black torso accent the 'lips'. All that is missing are the red swirls on the cheeks.
Yes, many people are rioting over the design change. Moshow build quality, but buyers got betrayed for the design change. If this head was the one promised, then it would be about 100-150 cny less and will have a lot less sales. Most taobao stores had 500+ orders(both 01 and 02 combined). The Zhao Yun one on the other hand only had no more than 100 orders per store.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Pay for third party money and third party quality is what you'll get.
@@_Seileach Build quality seems very good according to Chinese buyers who did not care about the nostalgia (someone even commented about being like MoShow), which makes it all the more disappointing to those who do care that the original design was not kept. It's as if the factory knows they will piss off a lot of people but hoped the good quality will earn them some forgiveness.

@@chrisw5083 Nah, there are people who don't mind the change. Like me lol. After all, I had no interest in the anime the original was based on, and I only PO-ed this when I saw this final design, even though I still prefer the more 'robotic' head design. It's not until that I dug deeper that I understood the reason for the tons of negative comments on Chinese social media. But I have to admit it makes me worried for MNQ-01, because the factory haven't shown anything about it beyond the old teaser designs. I'd be furious if they added a beard or something lol

Glad I cancelled the pre-order for this, they redesigned it, looks uglier than the original design, especially the backpack's design doesn't match the overall design. Pheww, wallet saved.

@@tranlong9716 Initially the first designs were based on Mashin Hero Wataru anime and the robot Ryuoumaru just like how MetalMyth Dragon King was. People were excited because Dragon King was a disappointment (loose joints and still looked too much like Barbatos). This finalized product is like a bait-and-switch, apparently they want to try to launch their own IP (see the box art even include pilot-character pictures) and even made trademark registrations which is laughable because the inner frame is still based on Gundam Barbatos.
This pissed many people off: it's like "Hey I'm making an unlicensed robot from that childhood show you really loved but actually later you're getting an original robot, *my* very own design that you otherwise would have zero interest at all. Thank you for your pre-order deposits for the past year, it really helped me!"

大約一個月前入手了這款白龍
不過必須抱怨一下，背包跟翅膀的關節連接處很緊，緊到我必須抓著翅膀不斷向背包孔洞內狂壓(一開始以為我中獎了，後來才發現似乎普遍都有這情形)
但因為太怕大力出奇蹟，最終我選擇用尺寸合適的鑽頭，用手旋的方式慢慢轉入背包的兩側孔洞擴孔，才能以最輕鬆且不會輕易脫落的方式插入翅膀
可是即使這個問題解決了，我後續還是遇到了另一個問題點，就是可動手大拇指過鬆的情形
雖然不知道這是單純我中獎還是怎樣，但慶幸自己早前組模型，早有預備一瓶消光凡尼斯
用了消光凡尼斯增加大拇指球關的厚度後，這問題才處理完畢
扣除掉以上的問題點，以及我始終覺得很像禿頭金鋼狼的頭雕，基本上我是覺得這款成品模型確實還不差！

sorry about my ignorance.... is this an Anime series or just a custom build of some sort that is being trademarked and sell using other gunpla frames to build on top of it and modified...?
just a custom build based on the concept of Gundam Barbatos and Ryuoh-Maru, the so called anime is merely a self invented thing to justify its design
you can search for the earlier design of this MNQ-02, used to be called White Dragon, as it hugely resembled Ryuoh-Maru, which is the main reason why most people pre-ordered this, myself being one of them, however this final design came out like less than a month prior to actual release date, making most pre-ordered customers feel betrayed

最初設計的胸部本來不會那麼明顯，
但到最終設計頭雕的眼睛太小且同色，感覺沒眼睛，胸部就整個突顯出來，
再加上那個很詭異的頭盔跟肩甲，而且說是變形，其實也是組裝式，
唯一好看就是那個翅膀，不過又太大了點！
看好幾個評測文，質量其實是不錯的很紥實，但是詐騙就是很該死的行為！
黃龍的實體圖聽說年後會出，但是不抱希望，好佳在兩隻都有退貨成功！
