I hear you. They come across as really well rounded individuals who are also very unselfish and prefer to talk about their teammates instead of themselves. They are not just stars on the court, but off of it as well. It's fun to root for this group of players because I really want them to succeed.
I love gabs she is just awesome everything about her and the player and most of all the person she is i love! Gabriela jaquez is absolutely my fav player on this ucla womens b'ball team!😍💕
I'm just gonna say it - Lauren Betts is the Player of the Year. The media has been hyping Hannah Hidalgo, Paige Bueckers, Ju Ju Watkins and a couple of others, but seriously, the award should go to Betts. Although the players I mentioned all have impressive individual statistics, none of them have made every other player on their team better the way that Betts has at UCLA. In the game today, Betts had nine blocks. Who else gets nine blocks in one game? ...Gabriela Jaquez also had a huge game today, but I've come to expect that from Jaquez. She is a warrior on the court, who is always at her best when her best is needed.
All the players u mentioned are def deserving of the award they are all great and having an awesome yr but Lauren Betts def should be at the top of that conversation as well she is having a outstanding season and impacting every game in Soo many ways she is a problem 4 any team and she has this fire inside that has really elevated her game this season!
@@jessep5813 Agreed! As I commented on a different site, people will understand why Lauren is the Player of the Year after the Bruins win the national championship.
Watched the game on Monday - impressed (first time in as long as I can remember). Just watched this interview - even more impressed, w/ Coach Close, the humility/attitude of the players. Don't think I've given wbball or Coach their due. Keep it up girls - rooting for you!
Such well-spoken and articulate players. I really enjoy hearing from them. 🐻🏀

There is NO PLAYER in the entire country who is dominating both ends of the court like Betts...Go Bruins!! 🐻👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
