Trading up is good for the lions with the roster we have now . We need quality not quantity
Everything is going too fast. Sound like martians
Hind sight guys-pls get me a crystal ball.
Terrion Arnold while playing in Alabama always faces the opposing QB. In Detroit he most of the time turned his back chasing WRs based on AGs scheme. When it comes to speed, he can run and chase when he sees the ball. Detroit should change secondary's scheme to suit CBs strength.
Mitchell seperated himself at the combine it was not a 1a 1b on draft day. Terrion dropped due to concerns over his 4.51 40 time. Mitchell ran a sub 4.4. Terrion is still a good player and having 2 elite safeties behind him helps cover his speed deficiency. That being said we should have kept our 3rd round pick and waited for either Wiggins or Dejean they are both better athletes. Holmes has earned the benefit of the doubt nobody gets every pick right.
TA had to play allot more man coverage, he had a much tougher job than the other 3 guys. I’m happy with his performance. Don’t see it as a mistake, he’ll be just fine . They are all fine players but TA had a tougher road to hoe
I didnt see where Terrion got left behind at all this season. Matter of fact he was sticky on Justin Jefferson and some of the other speedsters. He has a lot of growth yet and that is a good thing. Solid season yes, mistakes plenty, glad we have him 100%.
I totally agree Will, TA’s issues weren’t speed it was he was really handsie and as the year progressed his overall performance improved with man covers without using his hands to adjust and started using his feet instead
@RockedOnPodcastNetwork Robertson was the player who locked down Jefferson not Terrion. Speed issues showed up without question you didn't see him get cooked because he had 2 excellent safeties playing behind him. This was the reason we didn't bring many safety blitzes this year instead utilized more nickel blitzes with Robertson and Branch when he moved there. It hurt are run defense too because the safeties couldn't cheat up. He is still a good player just has limitations. To be fair the pass rush regressed this year which factors in as well.
