The amount of texture, body control, muscle tension and musicality that Kei showed was absolutely unmatched that day. I'm up for bringing something new to the scene but when such mastery is shown, the only thing we could do was to remain amazed. Popping is a beautiful art, man.

90% comments here were bias AF!! MT Pop definitely got robbed this battle! The man style is hella complex with west coast flavor! that shit is high level and raw funk.
MT took it!! also just listen to the crowd and you will know... they all went nuts for mts rounds... and its not like its a crowd of random people either most of them are dancers too that understand what they are lookin at.

I'm a huge fan of MT, as I've watched almost every battle of him, so I can say that this time he used indeed too many preset moves that he gets used to before. But the foundation and flexibility are just nuts...... Btw Kei's second round was so powerful and controlled!!! But need to pay attention to feel that.

"Pop control" Mt pop got better Dime stops, better ticking, better vibrations, better at using different levels of hitting. Kai had to consistently reset his whole round (he reset like 3 times every round) Whereas, Mtpop always kept the flow and the FUNK in his concepts and grooves. Mt pop is styling
In many cases, art cannot be explained by theories and equations. MT is good enough, I love him very much, but not this round.

I re-watched this 3X. The last 2X I only watched MT Pops rounds. That's all the convincing I need about who really won this battle.
Judges dont know at the time how to judge MT Pop at that time. Its not like they dont know what hit them or what not 😅 Glad MT Pop is currently one of the best poppers in the world. Guy’s just a pure genius 🎉🎉🎉

MT should have won, more entertaining to watch. I understand the judges have respect for Kei (even MT has a lot of respect for Kei) but if you want the scene to evolve, you got to judge with no bias.
There was no biased, maybe u can't see it, maybe it cant be seen properly through video, but kei's control and subtle moves from his first two rounds were disgustingly amazing

The dance we all love is evolving, and when the new generation shows up to out preform the older generation, it simply cant be ignored anymore. They should be happy to pass on the torch, and not horde it for themselves.
IMO Kei totally took this one and the way he dances is actually newer and more advanced than MT's
@@retroalgic5939 I can understand that. My thing is that for the first two rounds Kei focused mainly on muscle control. Granted he is at an extremely high level when it comes to that. MT Pop brought an arsenal of movement, and technique as well as muscle control. Then in the last round Kei finally looked like he was trying to win. This is purely my opinion, but I stand by it, and maybe if I was there in person it would be a different story, but this is the way I see it! 🤙🏾

Sinceramente, não somente esta batalha, mas diversas outras que MT enfrentou veteranos, nitidamente foi visto que ele ganhou, mas deram a vitória para o oponente. Percebe-se que não admitem perder para alguém mais novo. Respeito e me inspiro em vários como aki, greenteck, wiggles, jr. boogalloo, entre outros, mas é visto que há muita panelinha entre os organizadores e os juízes.
é so observar o poppin j com cara de bumba quando o mt pop vai dançar, e ve ele guase gozando quando o kei entra. os jurados ja tem seu vencedor preferido

You know, we can clearly see in this angle that judges overrreacted for Kei's round. Just for that reason alone, i can say that decisiton is wrong. (Judge in the middle specially). he done it before.
At this point mt is being held to a higher standard than 95% of competition and that is the case here which was unfair.
Agreed. I wish the judge had stayed more neutral. I've actually never seen poppin j reacting like that. I felt like the judge was overreacting to show respect to Kei as an OG in poppin, but defeats the purpose of the competition where popping alone should be taken into consideration for deciding the winner.
