I wonder if Korean listeners are getting cultural shock 💀💀💀. Young posses concept is heavily based off of American cultures which is so fuckin sick. They are the only girl group in Korean with these concepts I love seeing it cause they have such cool stuff.
There's a good amount of hip-hop fanatics in South Korea who are definitely just as big of a fan as Westerners are. There's a reason why they have a small but loyal fanbase over there-all the hip-hop fans have been waiting for a K-POP in 5th gen to fully lean into the genre, and Young Posse does exactly that! (Coming from a Korean myself ^^)
im always impressed that they usually have writing credits on multiple songs too, young artists deserve to have input on their art and it's making them better and better every comeback
The b-sides of young posse are always incredible, I don't know why most people only listen to the title tracks... I mean scars, otb, roty, dnd, skyline, posse up, loading are all so fucking fire
the fact they collabed w rockstar is CRAZY. i remember when gorillaz had to take down one of their old mvs cause of the resemblance to gta…so this confirms they worked together. or at least got permission to use gta likeness
They didn’t work with Rockstar. Gorillaz MV got taken down because they put literal footage from GTA in their MV which isn’t the case with Young Posses MV
I hate the modern 'trap' sound of hip hop that literally 80% of kpop girl groups do.. THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED!!! real old school 90s dre/snoop hip hop... i listened to XXL after this and love the 90s wu-tang sound of that too... love loading as well... i did hear macaroni cheese way back but didnt think much of it so didnt really follow these girls until i heard 'ate that'... and was blown away... also any plans on reacting to newjeans 'supernatural'? thats proper retro too and amazing... its 2 parts both need watching for whole story
gta san andreas was my idea of america when i was a kid lol seeing this being heavily based on GTA SA is the best!! only the official logo is based on GTA V everything else is GTA SA
A lot of newer kpop groups have been trying to do this. I personally have no problem with it because It’s not like they’re mocking African American language or anything. I think they’re Just trying to reach the more western audiences. And that’s one way to do it. As long as it doesn’t come off as disrespect then I’m personally fine with it 🤷🏿😭
Not every African Americans talk like that. They’re many well spoken African Americans as well. But in this type of rap scene I think they’re trying to put young posse in that category of using hood type of slang. But imo who cares 😭🤷🏿
