A tip to any one searching for this question if you're options trade or share trade is profitable you have to cancel your stop limit order and then sell you're position at the price you want. You can't sell the profitable position with an active stop limit order active, you have to cancel it manually and then sell.
If you set your stop at 1.00 An your limit 1.10 When the stock drops to 1.00 it isn't going to be possible to sell it for 1.10.... Shouldn't your limit be lower than your stop. To activate once your stop is hit?
You explain this all wrong. You’ve set it up so that if there is a falling knife and you’re not there to catch it by watching and it can’t give you the price that you’ve asked for it will continue to fall as far as it wants to go. You should’ve switched the numbers. You should have the stop loss turn on at a higher price and then the market price be what you actually need for it. Do you want to stop loss order in place before it reaches your market value that you expect from the stock. If you do it the other way around where the stop loss order doesn’t kick into effect until you’re well past what you were going to get for the price it will just continue to fall. And that’s your fault. 15:54

You have to do the math on the share price when dealing with fractions of stock. meaning, what will the share price be that triggers the sale if your fraction. you cant just do it on your dollar amount, everything is based on share price

So you would risk your contract breaking even below your stop loss then you would loose even more money? Why risk it like that for only couple dollars on your contract? What if it never goes back to your limit and you never get filled. Makes no sense lmao

How do I determine the percentage that I want to stop not just the price. I’m getting annoyed with watching videos saying the same thing. If I want a 20% stop loss how can I set that. I’m new to options but i don’t want to waste time watching monetized videos that’s not helping me. Is there any discords that’s gonna teach instead of copy and paste info off TH-cam?

Most people who trades options anticipate volume that's how it works. But if the price hits my stop I want out.

Multiply the con price by 0.2 & then subtract that number from the con price.

I figured it out. Stop Limit order is the only important one. You should have just talked about that in your video

it does get triggered, but due to bid/ask spreads ...not always at the price you want. You could just stare at your screen 24 hours a day
