i had a 2003 4.2 xj8 and currently have a 2005 super v8, most reliable cars i have ever own. Combined i have had them for 6years. The only thing letting me down on both is the coolant reservoir, common problem, 10min job and 100$
The jaguars are very nice, glad you spoke on reliability because my friend owned a 04 x type series and he had a few issues but the thing was only a few people would work on it
@@CarLanguage yea they do require special tools but that me is where a person finds that bond with their vehicle because when you put in that extra time and care into it , is when that vehicle becomes special
This cars are really reliable after 2005 s-types and xj bulletproof parts not so expenaive in here europe,only problem in 4.2 and 3.5 v8 engines are chain pullers ıt makes some chain sound plastic in genuine ıf you want you can upgrade steel-aluminıum avaible this engine and zf box easily can see 400-500k km on clock without any problem my friend use 2.7 tdv6 version xj 535k km on clock still no problem

@cometoChristJesus yea I for got to mention they require special tools if work on them yourself. Nothing you can't find at lowes or Amazon

@@cometoChristJesus that's a fact. Replacing the suspension with struts was tough. Almost made me junk it.lol
