Amazing breakdown! I've not heard a single reactor go into both Orwell's Animal Farm and Burgess's Clockwork Orange as intensely as you did. Even though I'm familiar with both, you went so much further than I thought to do and showed me a much deeper song than I initially listened too.
There is NOTHING superficial about Ren.
Thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more Ren reactions.

Outstanding reaction and breakdown. I read Animal Farm years ago, still have the ppr back copy, slightly worn out from school days. Almost tempted to read it again. 🙂Actually just last year I did finally watch A Clockwork Orange and it just grossed me out. I put it off, then saw this video and pulled out my DVD, It was awful, kept having to remind myself it was a movie and likely mostly fiction. I didn't enjoy it, that's for sure. Except we all know that mental illness can vary, and some mental issues can be violent. Ren is amazing, thankfully in real life he is generous and kind, nothing like that sick character in the movie, and you are very astute and did a great job with the lyrics explaining things. Again great job! Thank you.

    Hey Bob!
Welcome to the unintended 'sequel' to Murderer. This was another very low budget video, maybe 150-200 quid/dollars, and another one take. It took several dozen tries to get it right, but they managed to get it just before sunrise on the last day. This video was filmed by Luke Flegg, one of Ren's friends, and part of his inner circle.
This was filmed on location in the same block as Hi Ren and Sick Boi, leading to the street where Ren and his buddies busk much in the streets of Brighton.
The primary motivation and reference behind the song is the 1945, post-World War II, novella by George Orwell, same author as 1984 and other proto-cyberpunk/science fiction works. Animal Farm is a commentary on the condition of societies from already tyrannical societies going through a seemingly egalitarian transformation to returning to a tyrannical society. I highly recommend reading the original 1945 version as it is quite striking, intense, and prophetic.
The 7 Laws/Commandments of the 'Animal Farm':
Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
    No animal shall wear clothes.
No animal shall sleep in a bed.
    No animal shall drink alcohol.
No animal shall kill any other animal.
    All animals are equal.
The intention behind almost every actor is a direct reference to the anthropomorphic animals in the novella.
Joe Flack (the gentleman tied up next to Napoleon, the Pig) is the only human besides Ren in the video. He represents the basis of humanity and simultaneously the systems of loss and gain by society through tyranny and oppression.
Ren's overall look was influenced by multiple sources, primarily a human-like representation of Napoleon, the leader of the Animal Farm, the primary villains in 'A Clockwork Orange' by Stanley Kubrick from 1971, and the visual look of Willy Wonka from 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' original 1971 film.
The two gentleman playing poker against the wall as the camera pans around is a direct reference to the famous painter Cassius Marcellus Coolidge called 'Dogs Playing Poker' from his 1903-1910 series of paintings called 'A Friend In Need'. The paintings, depicting actual animals doing human things, is a Post-Impressionist satirical look at the ludicrous nature of wealthy humans in a post-Edwardian/Victorian time.
The girls in the first scatting area, in the bathtub, referencing the Creature from the 'Creature from the Black Lagoon' film from 1954 and representative of Toady from 'Wind in the Willows' film from 2006.
The bird girl on the bicycle is a direct reference to Stanley Kubrick's 1980 film 'The Shining' as the son Danny in the film rides a bicycle to witness twin girls suddenly appear and create an intense sense of creepy foreboding for the following scenes that proceed it.
The roaring lion is actually meant to be a cheeky reference to the Lions of Lion King, as if to refer to how power is simultaneously inherited and taken.
The girls who take Ren down the hallway as he makes direct references to J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings' is another reference to the inherent sexualised and alluring nature of power, which is why they are all wearing scandalous clothing and appear to be in 'sexy' movements and postures.
The Lamb being led to slaughter is a reference to Animal Farm, Charlotte's Web (1973), and the industrialised slaughter of animals for human consumption.
The Gorilla is literally just a time filler to distract the viewer while they set up the ending, but I think why the distraction is a Gorilla is actually Ren's signification of how closely related to apes that humans are. The manic and frantic movements indicative of how we basically flail and shriek in most attempts to exist because we don't really take a moment to contemplate what is next. We simply 'go'.
"Yes, I will be waging war on the capital. Yes, I will burn the Houses of Parliament down, cause hypocrites burn quite easily, wow. Burn and pillage it all to the ground. Your illegitimate king lost his crown." is actually two references: one to what he would intend to do if he was the 'Cannibal King' and the other is to the Money Game trilogy, Crucify Your Culture, and, now, Money Ties, all of Ren's songs directly correlating to the greed and hypocrisy of humanity when it comes to homogeneity.
It truly is an intricate web of layered thoughts and a fantastic representation of his sick 'flow'.
I recommend checking out 'Losing It', then Genesis, then the acoustic versions of 'Murderer', 'Animal Flow', and 'Genesis'.
As always, much peace and love to you darling. ^^

Interesting breakdown of REN's "Animal Flow." You've done an excellent job connecting various cultural references to the song's themes, providing a comprehensive framework for understanding its potential meanings and commentary on societal structures. It would be great to have any links to Ren discussing the meanings behind the song to further validate these interpretations. Your analysis is both compelling and plausible based on the information provided. Artistic works indeed often invite diverse interpretations and your insights add significant depth to the discussion. Thank you.
Losing It, Genesis & Murderer are indeed on my list.

@@Bob_Will I certainly can find his livestream from release of Animal Flow, but it is inherent to the content of every step. Luke, the director of the piece, also spoke out on his own media about this one. The RENegades have helped me collect this data over the years.
Some of it is definitely artistic interpretation but a lot of it is directly from those involved.
I appreciate you and I strive to bring context and a deeper understanding of the meanings inherent to Ren's work. He's never made a track that didn't have some layered aspects to it. The man just always somehow injects double, triple, and quadruple entendres into every single word, line, verse, and song.
His most complex song from his new third album releasing soon, Slaughter House, is so complex that I had to create a Google Doc just going over every single reference, inference, and piece of background data because it's just so much.
Ren proves constantly that he is truly a legendary bard, a proper performer, a brilliance that shines like a pulsar in the darkness of space.
I'm sure if I don't find it soon, a RENegade can find it for us.
