What is the history on this car?

It was sold new as a 1970 Grabber Blue Boss 302 to Joan M. Ericsson and in 1974 she sold it to Paul J. Pettey who raced in the 60s/70s Trans Am series with a 69 Boss 302 and he planned to use this car as a backup. He converted it to a Trans AM race car but never the car never used in the Historic Trans AM series which ended. He died in 1995 and Hal McCarty bought in 1998 and finished the conversion to replicate the Bud Moore Boss 302 Trans AM cars. He raced it 2006-2012 and sold it to Cobra Automotive. The car last raced at Sonoma Raceway in 2018.

@@GarySharapata What paint scheme did it have when Paul made it into a race car? Was it still blue?

@@scottfritz4988 Yes it was the original color Grabber Blue when Paul bought it and converted it into a race car. It got changed to the Bud Moore Livery when Hal McCarty purchased it and then had Conover Motorsports redo the car. Not sure what I'm going to do with it as I just turned 70 and not as flexible as I once was and it has a high side rollbar which is more difficult for me to get in and out of. May end up selling it to someone that wants to race it as that's where it belongs.

@@GarySharapata Cool Story, she's definitely beautiful, awesome history of this classic, and i definitely agree with you, it needs to be on a Race Track, that's what these were built for, those big Cleveland headed 302,s were little powerhouses !

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!

Catalytic Converters won't help much with Carbon Monoxide, stay in a 1 car Garage closed up with a car running with a Full Exhaust with Catalytic Converter(s) You Still Gonna Die !

@@badass6.0powerstroke10 yes but it takes a lot of time. There is a massive difference between catless and with cat.
