Learn how to keep track of and manipulate elixir trades Goblins will counter most ground ranged troops if you can "surround" them ie; dropping your troop right on top. Goblins cost 2 elixir, used to counter a 5 elixir wizard will give you a positive trade of 3, if you are the one being countered I would be called a negative elixir trade
Ideally you want to gain momentum by compounding this advantage. It will help if you follow clash youtubers as well, it allows you to keep up to date with the "meta", sadly, but amazingly, clash royal is a very competitive game when you decide to follow the pushing route
Another tip, you want to use the previously mentioned elixir advantage to out cycle your opponent, once you learn this method, it is easier to build functional decks

Play classic challenge until ur confident most experienced players only play gc so that’s probably why u lose
