I don't see where he demonstrates this supposed secret serve. He claims the first bounce of this short serve is near the baseline like a long serve and keeps tapping on the line, but the ball bounces on the back third of the table.

i think what he means is that, most of the time you can judge a short of long ball based on the first contact on the table. at around 8:30 you can see that the ball bounces on the first third but at 9:42 (i.e. standard) it jumps on the second third. This difference is key to confuse you opponent.
