Divine Experiences, GuptaTal (Invisible lake) where Lord Shiva bathes

- I visited a small beautiful hamlet of Kamad , which serves as a base towards the holy yatra or pilgrimage of divine lake of Sahastratal. Located at 15000 ft it is considered seat of Lord Vishnu and an energetic landscape to perform austerities in form of chanting, recitation japa meditation etc. It is an offbeat unknown place popular in local legends due to the hard trek involved. I had heard many tales about it. I was in kamad to document the village culture when luckily i met Pandit Purnānanda Bhat who had come here from nearby Bagi village. He is one of the few who has performed 7 year austerities on the lake amidst harsh climate. Here I came to know about Gupta Tal, Gupta means hidden. The lake is known to all but very few have managed to see it. Pandit Purnānanda Bhat is amongst the few. He narrates his experiences during his 7 year stay at the lake. It also brings forth the application nature of Karmakānda of Saśtra’s and how they effect energy dynamics in certain geographical locations especially the Himalayas. It also brings forth the untold unheard dynamics of spiritual experiences through yātra and importance of biorhythms in form of time & seasons. It also forces us to look at the power of sound in form of Mantra, Japa, Recitation, pujā etc and its energetic cosmic algorithms. Hope this small interview opens profound insights towards the aesthetics of pilgrimage.

First keep the passion of mahadeva. That will do half things. Then start your journey. Do not think of end goal. Keep going where you can and absorb. You will see over time it will lead you
