Must start using my van in the winter although not sure many sites open here in Holland at this time of the year. Thanks for the upload, that site looks quite nice.
Happy new year to you both. Just to say there was an old railway line went through Newcastleton and it was the "Waverley Route" which ran from Carlisle up through to hawick, St Boswell, Melrose, Galashiels and on to Edinburgh, but alas in January 69 the line closed due to mr beeching. In fact if you look up Waverley route heritage centre you may enjoy a wee visit..
Happy New year to the both of you. Me and my wife love to watch your videos. I especially like the informative posts you do cleaning tanks etc as I am quite new to motorhoming. We recently visited Scotland and used some of the sites you show on your trips, Bunree was one of our favorites. Do you plan to do any more European trips? Thanks again Glenn and Kay.
Happy New Year to you both from a tent camper. I really enjoy your videos, particularly of Scotland, and have found some of them very useful, particularly because (past experience) tenters weren't welcomed on many CC sites. I know some do as do C&MC sites. Funnily enough, I and other tenters got this impression of Lidalia - prompted by your video I looked it up again and they now have some tent pitches. So thank you very much indeed. Hope you enjoy being in Newcastleton. I quite often stop off for a break there and the people are lovely. There's some great walks around and I'd echo Fraser's comments above on the Waverley line.
Lovely video and countryside loved the soundtrack 😊- hope you are enjoying Thor we are just back from our Christmas getaway in our motorhome- happy new year to you both and Pops and Tara
hi bob just to make you aware thief's operating in the area .last night red lion caravans was rammed into lsmashing very large steel gates and steeling a motorhome just shows you what length the will go to get a motorhome
Another great video guys . I have a question . Do you wave to other motorhomes on the road ? If so , do you wave first or wait until they wave ? Lol ? I have to admit I quote like the whole waving thing👍🏻👍🏻😁
Yes, I try and wave at everyone, but only if it's safe to do so. Mostly it's just four fingers lifted off the steering wheel, if driving, don't go waving arms about. 😁. I don't wave at people on the opposite of dual carriageways and motorways, and if the road is especially twisty. Just ignore those who don't wave back, there maybe a very good reason they don't wave. Safety First!
It was a non-refundable deposit. Not all deposits are refundable. The deposit on our new motorhome wasn't. It's normally used to secure an order, a show of faith if you like.
The drive in looked dour and uninspiring so it will be interesting to see what you can find in your next video, but you usually manage to make places interesting wherever you go.
It was actually 0.3333p recurring! That's the problem with maths. It was £25 deposit and £16 a night. So 3 nights is 48+25 deposit = £78/3 nights is 24.33333.
Well done Poppy! Thanks for reminding me! Lol
Love your videos, spent time traveling the UK ! Brings back great memories! Happy New Year!
Glad you enjoy them.
Thanks for the video. Sounds a good day for kite flying 😀
It was, nearly took the door off a couple of times!
Least the shortest day has gone 😎
I was looking for a review of Lidalia site and, bingo, Bob popped up. Nice one mate - a reviewer I can trust 😊
Thank you 👍😊
I hope you visit the Achmelvich site on the north-west coast of Scotland one day. Incredible beach and scenery.
Happy new year to you both

Thanks, there are fewer sites open in the winter in the UK. It's always quieter in the winter, so we do enjoy getting away.

We certainly will be going back to the continent again, just not sure when yet.

Thanks for your comments. Lidalia is a private, affiliated with CAMC site, so that's probably makes the difference.
I love the sign-off :)

Thanks, hope you have a great year!
Nice Video and yes it did look cold, and you put all that effort into making the video and get upstaged by poppy at the end
Yes, she is the real star we know.
Happy New year.
Lovely video.
I've noticed a orther dog on seats as poppy got a friend?
Thanks, Tara is my sister's dog who often comes with us on many of our trips.
"Lashing down with drizzle" 😆
Later, it lashed down with proper Scottish Rain. With a capital R. 😁

Good choice of alcohol in the fridge. St Austell Brewery is the best.
It’s still only 16 pounds a night you get your deposit back it’s misleading it not 24 .33 a night at al ???
You don't get your deposit back. It's part of the bill.
If it’s a deposit why not I don’t understand
