Hi There. I am planning a trip to Northern Spain in the next couple of weeks to ride some of La Vuelta stages. Your tips are absolultly brilliant. Muchas Gracias Hombre!
Thank you ! Just planning my journey now and fell onto your very helpful tips ! I believe I would have been going round in circles if it wasn’t for your video 👍👍 all the best and thank you once again.. Paul
Good video! Just back from Spain / Portugal 10 day tour, saw this and added exit path from Santander on Sat Nav based on your guidance, worked a treat! I saw you on one of your tours on the crossing and said I’d leave a comment if it worked, so here it is! Btw, we got to Leon by about 20:30, apart from some road works that delayed us about 40 minutes, all was fine, roads were great and views stunning 😊
Fantastic! Thanks for the feedback. Generally we had good weather apart from a day of torrential rain in central Portugal. Great trip all the same. Nice meeting you on board. Oly
Interesting. We had a horrible time leaving the ferry. Over 2 hours in baking heat, lots of bikers were down to their underwear as we were sealed into the lower deck. Apparently they held us there for so long because the queues at customs were so long. My family were in a car and they were out of the port with 10 mins.... Never doing it again, I much prefer the ride down through France anyway.
@@RideSpain We were advised to go down and one rider went back up the stairs only to be met by a crew member who asked what he was doing because everybody should have left by now!
Great advice, I have always found it a doddle - just a Mention but I have never put any GB stickers on my bikes in and out of any of the Euro countries and I can add morocco with no issues. Ride safe.👍🏻
Now... the question I have is... Has anyone bothered to actually contact Google Maps to improve their maps by informing them that the advised exit is not an exit etc? It literally take 2 mins to send them an update.
@@RideSpain Sorry, I didn’t mean to come over that way and I’m certainly not suggesting you would do this, but I’ve twice been held up by groups casually strolling down well after bikes have begun disembarking and it’s massively frustrating.when you know the queues that await you.
Really helpful video, keep up the good work. All the best.👍
Thanks, appreciate your comment.

did you have any issues with a right hand drive motorbike in Spain?
Looking at the last few seconds of the video, I admire you for actually leaving again. Or maybe you didn't? Thanks for the tips.
Haha, yeah! Leaving is always the hardest part, which is why we keep going back!!
Google have now updated their map so it takes you out of the port via the bridge.😁
Now this is going to save a bit of grief, thanks.
Really helpful , anyone got discount code for the ferry ?

That doesnt sound very pleasant, yeah, it's not a great idea to go down to the bikes until the crew advise, much prefer sitting on deck myself.

I just followed others and ended up outside. Just take your time.
Agreed not to go down too soon but don’t be a selfish prat and go down so late that you obstruct other bikers unable to move.
A bit aggressive! It depends on where your bike is! Always seems a bit mayhem down on deck! All biker etiquette goes right out the window!
