My bff had a yardsale. She let me bring what I wanted. I only brought one box of jewelry, so dumb cause I have a million boxes not doing a thing. Long resell story. Anyway I was offering it for next to nothing. Napier, monet, trifari, j crew, chicos all the costume names. In really good shape. I sold almost every item in less than two hours. But cheap. Two bucks for the best pieces. One of the people, the sweetest little old lady ever was digging in her purse. She didn't seem to have any money at all. But she had a piece of trifari in her hand with a death grip. Adorable. She asked if I would take 50 cents, so sweetly, I told her to get out! Lol. I gave her that piece, it didn't mean anything to me and it seemed like it meant a lot to her. I was leaving because I had to catch a ride to the store or, no food! In the box there was about 10-15 pieces left. I ran, hahaha haha I walked to her, she was a passenger in a small older than me , car. It looked really old, I asked her if she wanted the rest of the box. She explained she only had a teeny bit of her "fun" money left. I gave her the box. I didn't want to bring that home. The look in her eyes was like I was giving her a million bucks. She was so excited. That was the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. I realized she was riding in the car. A younger woman, driving, told me her mom worked her entire life and when she retired her 401k had been embezzled, so she received social security and because of everything she lost, she couldn't afford the house she raised her children in. The more her daughter talked the more I wanted to give her. Instead I made new friends. I still bring Miss Anne a gift every time I see her. She lives with her daughter and 2 grandchildren. I feel so blessed. I got a new piece of family at my bff's sale. I win. Sorry so long.
Hey from Texas! I can assure you that there are still real cowboys. Handlebar mustaches, chaps, working the ranch, dancing with the ladies and all the rest! 🤠
"I'll take any price" and then immediately goes back on it and declaring they're "antique" (look like 1950s not 1920s to me, which WE know isn't antique). And then "I'd rather give it away". Absolutely rude. I wouldn't have had such a gracious response - I applaud you!
11 year eBay seller 100% feedback. Your video is on the money. Yard sells are the best, especially prices and nice people. Those people have very clean easy sell items. Hope you do well. Make shop happen.🎉
This video, shows me the drawbacks of running a rummage sale. Chicks like this one. I would put definite prices on everything, after getting it appraised & put a sign up "no haggling"! " This price is what it is". If something is imperfect, I'd write on a piece of paper, taped to the article "as is", so that nobody can come back demand a refund! I never ran a rummage sale, but was always thinking about it!
They weren't even finished setting up and somebody is pesting them to do a discount on a bundle of two different people's items! How annoying would that be..and she wants to resell the items to make money
Might be a good idea to bring a wagon next year you could fill and pull along with you. I could tell carrying got to be a little much after awhile. Fun to watch though.
Those axis and allies games are super price. Also yes their are still real cowboys. We had to hire a cowboy to get our longhorn out of our neighbors pasture. He was truly amazing. FYI I live in Texas.
Love love loved this video. I’m in Fla and it was so fun seeing the different architecture of the town compared to Florida. Also really enjoyed seeing what everyone was selling and what you bought. Thanks.
Great finds Judy🤣🤣🤣... you're funny! Girlfriend put some boxes/ old towels in your car to place/ protect your goodies. Karen remember the grocery shopping carts? Find you one. Less trips to the car. More time for treasures. You'll still get your exercise spending money 💰... lol.. I really enjoyed this Karen. Btw you've got the sweetest laughter. You're friendly and very cordial. You've got style and a classy lady. I got so excited when I saw the video time..🤣 I loved it. 🤗
Hi Karen! I was watching The Crazy Lamp Lady's new home tour video and I noticed that she was desperately looking for a landscaper! I remembered that your daughter owns a landscaping business and that you have run into Andrew at the flea market. Anyway, I immediately thought of your daughter while watching her video. - Jamie
Karen, you’re amazing! Such a hard-working ambitious lady. As I lay here cozy in bed still watching you work, lol. Getting up soon though. My sis and I thrifted in a nearby town yesterday so I have two shopping bags full of pretty, Colorful ladies clothes to list local and/or on Poshmark. Have a good afternoon over there in the east. 😊
I cannot stand when people say it goes for this on eBay when it’s actually a listing price. I mean hell I could take a dump in a box and list it for $300 😆
I enjoy your videos. Really enjoyed this one in particular. For over 25 yrs my father had a stand on Maxwell Street in the 60s-80's. He would go to stores like venture, turn style and buy "loads", bring it home and we would clean or repair and he'd sell on the "street". It was fun, lots of work but helped pay bills. Thanks for these videos.
Oh My --- that was intense. You are a trooper for sure. I couldn't figure out if the guy who didn't have change wanted you to buy more or was just not worried about making sales. Seems like you got some great items, looking forward to the haul video.
Karen! What a great sale. That lamp was beautiful. Shoot just the shade alone would have probably sold for 40+. Wish we had a neighborhood sale like that. And you're adorable. I hoping to make it to flip con. Looking forward to meeting you. Thanks for taking us along with you. Always fun to see what you pick up. Those little GI Joe figures see for a lot of $$.
What an adventure! My top 3 faves that wound up as Lavender Clothesline picks were the quilt, dog bookends and the empanadas (yum)! Blessed with beautiful weather, nice people and some very cool things! FYI I would probably have lost the car a few times. Thanks for bringing us along!
Karen I enjoyed going along with you to the yard sales; I especially liked the way you made deals for your prices. And you got plenty of exercise and fresh air. Life is good.
Okay, THAT was fun!! I'd love to go to a town-wide yard sale!! 2-3 reusable grocery bags with strong handles to tote your treasures would be helpful! And another thought I had was to leave your wallet behind and just have a bunch of ones, fives, tens, twenties in the bottom of your handbag to dig thru! :D Listen to us back-seat shoppers with all our advice!! :D Thanks for sharing this day with us! I loved it all! :D
Loved seeing beautiful homes & items. Girl you need to get a foldable cart. I got mine from Container Store but alot of mass retailers have them. Ikea bags, towels & my cart get me through my adventures here in Chicagoland. Keep getting what is yours!!!

Just a thought...next yard sale day--put about 6 totes in the back of your Jeep with some loose sheets of bubble wrap inside--then bring your purchased items to your car and you already have a tote that you can fill and close the lid when full---and if need be, stack on top of each other if you buy something large.
I don't care how fairly you price stuff, there's always someone who wants a "deal". People even want a deal on things priced a quarter. Geez. Personally, I like to see people excited to get a good price on something THEY will treasure in their own home and not excited on how much money they can make on an item. Please don't come to my sale early otherwise I wouldn't have put a starting time in my ad. Showing up early is just rude. I'm busy and don't have time to watch people or answer questions. Thank you.
I love your videos; thank you from Tennessee! I am a very part-time reseller and I have used LA Awesome (Dollar Tree) on plush, clothing, shoes, and many other items with great success! The product has not harmed any of my items and works every time, for $1.25. My son is a truck driver and got oil and grease on his jeans. He was going to throw them away so I used the Awesome and they came clean.
29:57 you should have to get SINGLES and FIVES -the DAY before ............. awkward to pay for a 2 dollar item with a 20 .... Also a tad awkward to ask for a lower price - then need change back..... Also , people sometimes don't have change when the sun comes ups....You don't need 20s at all .
You live in a quilting state and area. I live on the West coast where quilting is little known. The price of that cross stitched quilt out here would have cost you probably $50.00 +.
some of my family & friends went to the same sales. I saw my friend at the 49 minute mark, lol. Small world 🌎. You got lots of goodies. She's YT famous, being on your channel & mine.
I love how kind & fair you are to everyone, even those who are a little cranky, lol. I have a feeling that if we lived in the same city we would become friends, we have a lot in common:) Just started watching the video, but I wanted to make sure I commented that before I finished:)
Hi Karen, You found some wonderful finds at great prices. That was alot of garage sales. You sure got your exercise in, I bet you were wiped out after that long hot day. Great Video!
I think you should get one of those shopping wagons with wheels. You know the ones that you bring to the grocery store. Maybe you can find one at one at the yard sales next time you go hunting for treasures.
Enjoyed your yard sale and thank you so much for caring Me Alone 2 all of them will be subscribing to your Channel may God continue to bless you your family and your channel from your friend Ella Bransford:-).
Hi I'm Lynn and just now I'm having to use my Hubby's phone mines playing up 😏, I'm from Yorkshire in England and might I just say how wonderful your manners are towards the people setting up , I remember years ago when I did carboots , the buys used to be a discrace they would pull all your things out of your car all over the floor , even if it was wet and then walk off not buying anything half the time 😏, so watching you is a real breath of fresh air 😊, Thanks for sharing 😊, Take Care and Stay Safe xx 🤗
I am new to your channel. I just happened to find you at midnight last night of all times. Lol. This is exactly the kind of videos I fall in love with. You found some great items today. Thank you for taking us along with you. I will be watching for your next video. Have a great day
I had to stop yardsaling as I have roo much stuff. But, now I am listing more often on Marketplace I might just go. I have certainly found many a bargain. I too always group my items together then ask for a lower price. Negotiation if done politely and without trying to cheat people sometimes will lower the price, however, not always. Love your videos thank you for teaching us.
BTW I can’t wait to get my ugly face planter! If you ever see a Pyrexx stack and see jar or a really good wooden cat can you please pick them up for me? I’ll be sure to purchase them from you
Omg 😲 this community sale was out of control! What neighborhood or community were you in? I have to go next year. My husband and I camp Memorial Weekend in Lancaster. We would have so much fun walking and looking. Thanks for sharing!
I have been watching Beau Alexander TH-camr recently and he is very knowledgeable about glass, especially clear glass. He thrifts for home decor and I suggest his channel as well.
I don't play any games, but even I would have bought that whole pile of games that guy had. They all looked in great shape, and at only $5 each there was money to be made. The child's bed was wonderful. Karen, a fitted sheet is the simplest sewing project to make. I made all my grand baby's crib sheets and the same technique can be made for any size bed. Takes about 10 minutes and done. Hope you got some great stuff.
@@lindaduval5056 The comment space is small to explain. There are lots of google or You Tube videos showing how to cut out the square at each corner of the fabric, sewing the cut edges together. Make a channel all round and feed in the elastic. Google making crib sheet. Easy peasy. Hope that helps.
I can't believe they are truly discussing a 5 dollar difference, it's clear these people are going to be left with tons of stuff. Let it go !!!! OMG WTF. Are they going to hoard it back inside for the rest of their lives.
Greetings from Landisville! I'm a new subscriber and seem to hit up all the places you do. As a new reseller you're an inspiration! Who knows, maybe I'll run into you scoring some deals!
That was fun! Your chest camera worked very well. I am a little shocked Roger wasn’t shopping this town wide yard sale with you. Thank you for this video
Ugh, was that $15 for all those GI Joes? Haha. That’s my market. Most of those were anywhere between $10-$25 each in person. eBay maybe $5-$20 plus shipping
What an awesome, fun and exhausting day you must have had, Karen. Really great pick ups and I appreciate when you explain why you don’t pick up some items. I think Randy was flirting with you! Cheers, Katia

Sounds like a trip to Texas is warranted. And before we all get too much older LOL
Watching this video was painful for me. I’m not a haggler. To haggle without insulting the seller is an art.
"I'll take any price" and then immediately goes back on it and declaring they're "antique" (look like 1950s not 1920s to me, which WE know isn't antique). And then "I'd rather give it away". Absolutely rude. I wouldn't have had such a gracious response - I applaud you!

Karen, I love to watch your program. Your organisational skills are nothing short of superlative. I don’t know how you do it. Perfection❤
Fun day! Rolling suitcase with old towels for the breakables.
That quilt is worth much more! Say, a couple hundred dollars. Even with the stains.
I love how you video, we can actually shop with you, love love watching you shop.
I really enjoyed going along with you as you walked through this yard sale! So much fun!
$1.50 for empanadas! What a deal. Thanks for taking us to the yard sales!
One year I bought 20 and froze them 😂
Wow so many good yard sales! ❤️❤️ the Luke Skywalker find in the first one. Score!
That first yard sale - I think they hadn’t gotten their coffee yet…
I was thinking the same thing. Yeesh! Lol.

The child's bed was wonderful. Karen, a fitted sheet is the simplest sewing project to make. I made all my grand baby's crib sheets and the same technique can be made for any size bed. Takes about 10 minutes and done. Hope you got some great stuff.
How do you make the fitted sheets. Can you explain?
@@lindaduval5056 The comment space is small to explain. There are lots of google or You Tube videos showing how to cut out the square at each corner of the fabric, sewing the cut edges together. Make a channel all round and feed in the elastic. Google making crib sheet. Easy peasy. Hope that helps.
@@seaside2001 thank you for responding. Have a wonderful day😇
@@lindaduval5056 Good luck with your crib sheets. You can do it. They are so much nicer than bought and can coordinate with a hand made quilt etc.
I think the glass was Murano. It was beside the Italy nativity set.
Don't skip those brass peacock fan fireplace screens. They're a high value sale.
It was too high priced 😟
That was fun! Your chest camera worked very well. I am a little shocked Roger wasn’t shopping this town wide yard sale with you. Thank you for this video
He is tackling a LOT of inventory 💜
I am interested. What is a chest camera holder? Where can I buy one? TIA
If quilt doesn't come clean you cold always coffee or tea rinse it!😊 ALSO REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR OWN CHANGE, THESE YARD SALERS ARE WORKING HARD TOO!!!!
