This video shows the types of admixtures in concrete. Admixtures are the constituents which are used to improve the workability and strength of concrete. There are different types of admixtures, namely superplasticizers, water- reducing admixtures, accelerating admixtures, Air entraining admixtures, Set retarding admixtures. Each type of admixtures has different purposes like for increasing strength of concrete, increasing workability, avoid freezing and thawing actions, reduce thermal cracks.
