Ok, to get the design, are we repeating Rows 8 - 12? because at 10:58, you stated that we are to continue to repeat the chains and single crochets for as long as we want the poncho to be. Am I correct?
I'm not a large woman but starting with 120 chains and working with a 3.5mm hook didn't work out for me. It was too small. I started again with 136 chains and a 4mm hook. It's better, but still fairly close fitting. If you're not a petite person, I recommend a 5mm hook... The pattern is very nice, but some way of increasing to give it more shape would be appreciated.
I was hoping that you could help with some advice for me. I am normally a 2xl/3xl but have lost enough weight to fit into an xl. However, my bust is quite large which puts my top portion still at a 2xl. I will use a 5mm hook as you suggested. Maybe I should use a 6mm? I am going to use Caron Simply Soft yarn for this as it has a beautiful sheen to it. Would you suggest 136 chains still? I understand that this part is just the opening at the top. I haven't watched the video fully to see if there are increases to widen the poncho. What yarn did you end up using? Have a beautiful day!
