Great news! If you make a purchase from any link above, my channel earns a small affiliate commission from the site.
Sean is a nice guy;he won't have any difficulty selling that apartment.
I honestly can feel Cash’s pain when he went into that laundry room. Oh well, not to worry, bro! I can’t afford even that laundry room too.
even you can't? wow bro
I can’t either and I live in rural Alabama and my husband has a good job.
In the UK, we’d call that a utility room. It’d be off the kitchen with a door to the back garden, handy for hanging the washing out.
@@clogs4956 oh, mate, in London it is actually called a Chelsea rental
Soho looks like a suburban mall.
I love that you also show us the neighborhood Cash!
I went to school in NYC and many of my teachers were the ones to gentrify lower Manhattan. Many eventually bought the buildings that they then converted to lofts. They'd have a sellout show of their artwork and buy a building for $70,000. Of course this was 45 years ago and Soho was a barren wasteland at 6pm. All the stupid boutiques drove real estate up. They sold their buildings to raise sheep upstate and now the lofts are occupied with "really cool interesting billionaires."
thats the cycle .starts with poor people doing some repairs and decor things to thier rental . Then the neighborhood sells and gets restore ,the hipster rich move in to be edgy ..... I remember the trust fund artist ,, ranting a three bedroom for themselves and us thier neighbors had roommates and they used to drink PBR and think that made them the the same as the
'poors'
Yeah, happens on both left and right coasts. Love your last two sentences re: boutiques and raising sheep with their Wellies on, but only for photo ops. They've hired others to do the farming, gardening. Then take all the credit.
Very interesting, I don't doubt you!
Ah so refreshing to hear real God damn New Yorkers.
Yall would also remember west of 8th Avenue from the Deuce to 14 was where you went to get robbed, drugs or your gay on. 1st time i broke night was at the Pier. Man those were the days.
I know some of those people (and their children), they got so insanely lucky.
Cash- This was refreshing, fun and beautiful to watch. What outstanding architecture and design.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy New Year!
Keep going!☮️🇺🇸🗳️
tough to remember NYC is filled with working-class people just getting by. They are what make this city so special. Their families and histories you should cover that stuff too.
True, and maybe he will do a vid or two on it. That said, I'm quite sure he gets a slice of the commission when apts. are sold/rented.
how is it tough to remember? it's all i imagine when i think of NYC. working class people who are dumb enough to vote themselves into the ground. have you looked at his channel? he regularly does videos about issues of the city.
Or you could stop telling creators what content they should make, Plenty of channels are out there showcasing what you described Karen
No thanks for your wasted opinion, Ken. Haha...@@thelonesilencer
@@thelonesilencer easy, easy it was just a suggestion. Lay down and relax
"Lucky for them, after they're broke, the subways right there" 😅😅😅
That mural of the giraffe is absolutely gorgeous! That could be sold for a major amount as standalone art.
If I were given my choice of 3-4 things in this place, I would choose the mid-century deco burgundy red sofa, the abstract painting above it. The cascading chandelier in front of it, and the two golden abstract coffee tables. Then I would relocate them into a studio apartment and be perfectly content:-) 🧚♀
Cash, you are going to hit 1M subscribers in 2024 if you keep the vision. I started watching you when you had 20,000 subs. I remember being so proud of you when yoy hit 50,000 subs! Your pure enthusiasm, and keeping it real make you the absolute most lovable utuber. People watch you that have never been to NYC. You never lose your motivation or your smile$. Keep up the good work, love your channel. ❤❤❤
I tour the streets of NYC vicariously thru your videos Cash! Thank you. Happy Awesome 2024 to you & your family!
"This place was designed by smart people." Yup, I'd say every square foot is brilliant.
Gee, there don't seem to be any homeless people or asylum seekers in this neighborhood...can't imagine why.
It's almost like most of NYC is actually fine, but focusing on the problem areas gets way more views than focusing on the parts where nothing is wrong...
umm interesting take What I see is the rich get law enforcement to do thier jobs and private security for thier neighborhoods @@jimbo1637
Most of NYC is just fine! I rarely encounter the issues he's been focusing on lately. Maybe his driving people away will help make it more affordable again!!! LOL
Your wit and charm make my day❤
where studios go for a mill - this space seems like a good deal. nice tour. good job $$ & Sean. ~. JDS/CT
Wow!! I can’t believe how gentrified SOHO has become! I worked there in the early 90’s and it was NOTHING like that!
Gorgeous loft. And, yes, Nespresso does make the coffee taste better. The only brand I drink outside Europe.
"That's Connect 4" lol. Well, the real estate agent is cultured at least.
6 million dollars and the toilet is still in the same room you bathe. Unbelievable.
Even in Soviet factory buildings we don’t have *** like this
Once upon a time
-when sit coms were popular- NYers would see actors walking around. They lived in similar buildings. Not many - if any - sit coms left OR currently filmed in NY. I’d see Nigel Barker with his family back when he was a judge in ANTM.
If you can afford this, you won't even consider making it an airbnb, and you'll probably refurnish it according to your tastes and your interior designer's recommendations. In an open loft unit, I would also be concerned about noises from the neighbors' units, as there are few places to escape from the noise.
What noise from which neighbors? I've rented 2 lofts in NYC, 1st in Tribeca on Church & Duane, the 2nd on 23rd & 7th above the old radio shack. and, you'll never hear your neighbors. The walls are like 12 inches thick and many of the floors are built to prevent fires from spreading. The floors were built to carry industrial equipment, solid. The biggest issue is heating and cooling. Those windows unless you spend tons of money replacing them. welcome cold and forces out heat. The poor mans solution is to stretch vinyl over the windows and seal using duct tape. That's what I did.
I roamed these streets day after day back in the 80s when this area was obtainable but still high end and fashionable. I had a very nice 2 be apartment with large rooms, nice views and a man and wife living in to maintain and assist occupants. Very nice at $650 per month. My land Lord was art history PhD at the metropolitan museum of art and his wife a painter. I visited for dinner offer and gave critique for the paintings. Hah! Life was great. I worked days as architect/interior designer and painted nights when I wasn't running around Soho or attending auctions and openings. Natural health foods that included bean sprouts were the new snacks and lunches. Big time artists of today were just becoming known. Issues of the death of art had been explored and anyone could afford original art. (My income then was $75-100k !)
Your scenario was wonderful - that was for almost any US metropolitan center.
Sadly those days are but fond memories....
Cash, could you show us an apartment where the bottom 20% of New Yorkers live?
He did . Is a closet with a shared bathroom for the entire floor
Thank you!!!! I don't enjoy the other videos. I watch this to escape the ugly world before bed not hear more about it. Awesome for opening others eyes who don't know what's going on.
Your friend Sean is very charming and professional.
0:33 You hit the nail on the head. 😆🤣😆🤣😇
Thank you for equalizing your volume to match the commercials. My neighbors thank you, too.
Cash gives us a little view into how the rich live wow very nice
Happy Holiday to you. You make me laugh taking a tour of a neighborhood!!😊😊😊 So, yes, you have to go out and eat and shop. Yes, the LV store coming in January will be the additional place to shop there in Soho!!😊 The loft home is gorgeous!!! There are different themes there in the large living room/ dinning room and casual sitting area!! The ceiling is very cute. I see they have an oriental theme going on in the home. The sliding closing door going to an office is nice!! I wonder if there is glass in the middle of those doors to make the office silent inside there!! Hmm!! Love the washer and dryer!!😊😊 Thank you to the cool RE Broker colleague who comes from the real estate agency down the street there!!! Hahaha! You and many many people knows the crazy cool nice gentleman who is with that agency!! Hahaha 😅😅😅😅
For a 100 year old loft I was expecting some character of time gone by. It's nice but it's too modern on the inside for a 100 year old loft.
100 yr. old or brand new all lofts are big and barren until someone puts furniture and walls in it. No charm just because it's 100 yr. old.
@@pisces3121 Thumbs down.
A Google job isn't gonna be enough for me to afford this 😭
Save up 80% of your income and invest. Start a business when you get to the place where it makes sense. It's not easy, but it is possible at a Google salary.
In a high position*
"budget brokerage!" 🤣
What, No back yard?! lol
How much you need to pay monthly like city tax, common charges etc. Set aside the monthly amortization. Thanks.
😂 After they are broke the subway is right next to Prada 😂
Definitely a beautiful apartment, and for being in SoHo seems a decent price!
I enjoy these videos. I would be interested to see a video comparing condos, apartments, and pricing in New York and Bangkok.
1:32 to 1:38 🤣👏🏾🤣 cash is hilarious 🤣
You throwing shade at Serhant was funny and completely deserved. 🤣
Awesome job cash see you tomorrow
Look so nice 😮
This is one of the most entertaining apartment tour that I have ever seen.
"I love the checkers" "thats connect 4" bwahahaha
Beautifully crafted; far too expensive for thee and me.
One thing's for sure... Sean is bringing sexy back!!! 🔥
Just imagine, paying 6 figures to live in a tool shed in the most dangerous city in America?
Sorry sweetie, NYC doesn't even rate in the top ten most dangerous cities.
Oh, I think it does.@@theoriginalbridgetconnors
SOHO used to be the place you went to find one-of-a-kind and innovative items. Now it's entirely chains.
Loving the neighborhood tour!
I don't like the wooden pillars and beams. The only NYC that specific style fits is 1690 colonial NY.
If that kitchen hasn't been upgraded in 20 years, then they were honestly brilliant having a design that could last so long. Bravo. Reminds me of my friend's house for sale, too, haha. Not much is the fridge, but some leftover stuff in the pantries.
The wine fridge being large makes sense, considering the income of one who would live here. I'd wanna keep a lot. But this is the city, so a downgrade from having a wine cellar.
Actually those "pillars and beams" are distinctly Oriental in style - not precisely colonial NY.
@@modfus beautiful, but out of place
We have a home configured very much like this apartment. Not the same decor but still the same size. We have 2 kitchens, one upstairs one downstairs 4 bedrooms and a walk out basement, 2 car garage, 3 acres and 40x40 barn, fruit trees a separate water well , ADA compliant and very large organic garden. 350,000.00 and it's yours in Northwest Ohio. Plus no city noises, Star Bucks is a 5 min drive
Suburbs are like that you get a lot and pay little. AND my 1050 Sq Ft townhouse on 18x100 foot property here in Queens NY is worth about $545-570K and that' actually fairly cheap for Queens and NY in general. Im in the Rockaways. BUT by car i'm about 45 mins from Manhattan at night off rush hour! That says it all!
I was with you until you mentioned Starbucks.
Starbucks is a 5 min drive, in NYC you have 100s of restaurants, shops, bars and everything else you could possibly wish for within 5 minutes and you don't even need a car because of the 24h public transport system, you just walk out and go. Not to mention the fact that NYC offers more job opportunities than probably any other place on earth. Sorry but this argument gets made all the time and it's completely nonsensical. There's a reason NYC prices are absolutely bonkers and that's because everyone and their mom wants to live there.
@@theoriginalbridgetconnorslmaooo truuu
Would love to see a video on great local NYC furniture stores to furnish all these apartments. Is there an in between Ikea and West Elm? I've been here for years and yet to find one. Where/what do agents use to stage apartments?
Too bad the staging doesn't come with the condo.
5:00 UPDATE: the staging can come with the condo if you like.
Best NYC real estate youtube channel, nothing is close.
😂 love the "budget" brokerage plug 😆 😆 😆
The sarcasm😂
Cash is spicy today 😂😂😂 Great video as always.
This is my dream loft. Hands down.
PLEASE keep doing your classic NYC neighborhood apartment/condo videos, such as this one. They made you famous and people love them. Much more fun than your NYC dystopia videos, although you do a good job with those, too, they're just not as much fun to watch as your apartment exploring videos.
Holy Moses, the location........ awesome! The apartment......... not so awesome, imo. Tfs! 🙋
Wow you bought a Mic!!! Finally!!! Congrats!
6 million dollars and it has the kitchen and livingroom combined into one big room, wasn't that originally a cost saving measure for small cheap apartments? If I would get my hands on a place like this the first thing I'd want to do is put a wall between the two.
Believe it or not, the entire concept of lofts started out as a way to save money. After the manufacturing industry left the city, there were tons of formerly industrial buildings that sat abandoned. These buildings tend to have extra high ceilings, large windows, open floor plans, and back in the 70s, they were dirt cheap. It made them the perfect for artist looking for a live-in studio. Fast forward 50 years, and now lofts are some of the most desirable apartments in the city...
@@jimbo1637i wanted a loft for this very reason. Now they’re unaffordable
If you have roommates the open plan kitchen and living room is a no go. Have done it many times and am still doing it. You have to smell their bad cooking, burning oil, etc. Drives you mad. Also with the high ceilings the noise level of pots and pans slamming on the counters and cook top is too much.
@@Another_taco.Yes_please I'm glad I live in a city where I can afford to live on my own, having roommates sucks so much
Pretending to be poor as a style has always been a rich person thing 😂
It's the same reason they like to buy pre-ripped jeans and expensive shoes that are designed to look dirty.
"Luxury furniture" looks like The Most, uncomfortable furniture to ever exist.
It's like the designers all got together and thought, 'How can we make the most obnoxious, over priced, clunky, uncomfortable piece of junk for people to buy?...! I know! Let's combine large piece of wood together and then slap the thinnest piece of cushion over it! Hell, let's leave this big slab bare! They'll love it! Better yet, let's throw in this ridiculously uncomfortable chair that will mess your back up after you sit on it, not even once! and then throw chrome/gold leaf at everything! Yeah. And we'll jack the price up by over $5,000,000+++!!!"
I feel like these apartments don't have to be this expensive, if it was staged with more practical furniture, that still looks classy/high end, while being budget friendly.
Most of your time will be spent out of that apartment anyways, in order to afford to live in it...seems unnecessary to have all these $$$$! Furnishings, that will most likely go unused/untouched and literally just provide a "Museu-esque" feel.
I was raised - & in turn taught my kids - that the Aesop fable "The Emporer Has No Clothes" will resonate throughout their adult lives. They thought me daft until experiencing it themselves......
It’s funny….place is so big I thought that this was the shared downstairs lobby 😅 of a building😂
Father worried about his precious babay, baby worried about her precious dad! So glad theyre okay now!🙏
Spring St. bakeries........AWESOME...For the ..size.....of this "apartment" it could of been configured better to have a larger 2nd bedroom & closet area
Some nice light fixtures.🌆🌇
9:42 nice
3:26 lololol @ serhant is budget friendly real estate for the rich
The bathroom is bigger than some bedrooms in Manhattan.
That’s a good price for the location, size, and fixtures/finishes. What’s the catch?!?
I would have a priest come to that apartment to bless it, there are too many demonic features.
Having a Buddha statue in that loft is so ridiculous. Lol.
I like how they act like this 3000 sq ft apartment is a 10,000 sq ft mansion. Sad thing is, for New Yorker, it is.
The traffic there is CRAZY during the Friday evening rush hour. Car driving on the wrong side of the street. Constant beeping. Because it’s near the entrance to the Holland Tunnel.
There's something very nyc about the real estate agent standing in the corner and looking at their phone bored with that "okay wrap it up already" look on their face.
I could live there n the bathroom.😊
Does that expensive apartment contaminated water? Too much lead maybe?
😂 you're a regular viewer
You're a truly humorous youngin!!
You can go into the middle of the US where the air is clean, the streets are clean, the crime is virtually nonexistent and you can get a 3000 SQ FT home with 5 acres for $400K. Plenty of yard for kids and pets to safely play. I would rather be barely middle class in the middle of nowhere than a billionaire in NYC.
My uncle used to have a loft right in that neighborhood just a few blocks from there. 85 Mercer Street.. he moved out because my aunt was pregnant and they decided to raise their child where it might be a little safer. And closer to my aunt's job. He owned the rented the loft. He moved out just as they were becoming Co-op but decided not to purchase it. At that time places where I'm going for the extreme amounts that they are going for now...... if he had known that was what places would cost now he would have bought it. And rented it. He also owns an apartment building in Williamsburg.
Living here would be a nightmare for me. I'd be so scared of anything getting damaged.
Haha, thankfully the interior deco is NOT my style. So it’s a ‘no’. Well…I like the kitchen range.
Nice loft but not so sure about the decor. Then again, you're not buying the decor. Cash throwing shade at Ryan Serhant as he walks by his office btw 😂
I love watching these videos because I know Im going to be able to afford this!!!
What camera do you use?
Lol that intro was cold lucky for them after their broke they can catch the train after their broke
Yes cash more vids like this plz!!
why are rich peoples houses always so boring and tacky? I would have a big bronze cannon greeting you when you come in the font door, maybe something like a 1903 Harley up on the wall. interesting stuff. not fake gold crap everywhere.
Rich doesnt always means style or class or good taste 😂
I can only afford the mango and window shopping 🛍 for everything else.
“for different reasons” 😂
Cash Jordan is amazing 🤩
If you paid me to live there and I went shopping every day, it would take years for me to fill up all those closets and cabinets and drawers. I suppose there are people who have that much "stuff".
Haven't watched the vid yet, but I'm guessing the answer is that it's expensive
Looks like a lot of looted antiquities all up and through that place!😮
Appreciate you Cash
What the apartment needs would be a relevant intelligent personal assistant. A virtual assistant for optimal human-machine communication such as Amazon's Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple's Siri and Hey Siri, what can we do to impress Cash Jordon?"
Nice one.
