    I just replaced the trigger on mine with a Freedom Smith trigger. I did it myself and wow what a difference. My son said it makes the old trigger feel like a toy.

    Btw guys, I also tried a 13lbs Glock recoil spring and guide rod with a Glock gen 4 adaptor. I ran hand loads from well below recommended powder charge to well above and didn’t notice any reduction in muzzle flip over the factory recoil spring so I went back to the factory setup. Just thought I would share that in case you were considering trying that.

    Just a suggestion but when you gauge your trigger weight try to immobilize the gun to reduce or eliminate and human error. You may find that the trigger is lighter than you think because you are over pulling it while trying to hold it static in the air.

      David Niquette - unfortunately I have Spence sold the pistol. All you need to do is take a small file and file down the edge the trigger safely right were it contacts the frame. Don’t take to much off or the safety will not work. Take just enough off to stop it from hanging up. Hope this helps.

    How did you remove the material of the frame so it fits your hand better. I just got mine and with the small backtrap it just does not fit my hand well😢😢 . With the correct alignment of grabbing pistol so it runs parallel to my arm my trigger finger rubs on the lower patr of trigger guard. I need to lengthen my trigger finger. LOL... Good job yours looks great.

    • @tacticaltuner4217
      @tacticaltuner4217  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Richardd Harper - really you have to be willing to stipple your grip. You start by using a Dremel tool to shape the grip to fit your hand better. Then you cover the dremeled area by stippling over it. I learned how to broader stipple and a grip just by watching your tube video of people showing how to do it. Then started practicing on some plastic spoons. It is nerve racking but easier than you would think.

    I changed the recoil to the Yellow sprinco, 29 lb Newton striker spring and the cajun reduced power safety plunger spring and the slide won't stay back after the last round is fired. It will stay back on an empty magazine. I changed it back to the OEM recoil and it does the same thing. Do you know if the striker firing pin spring would have anything to do with the slide not cycling back far enough to catch the slide stop? Shooting 115 grain. Does it with all my mags.
    Does the striker pin spring have anything to do with it, I still have the 29 newton on it.
    Great video and great work on your gun

    • @tacticaltuner4217
      @tacticaltuner4217  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry bud just seen your note, try switching back to the original striker spring and see if it continues. I wouldn’t think that would cause the issue but worth being sure. Sounds more like a slide release issue. Is it possibly you hand is riding in the slide release on your last round?

    • @ostbob4108
      @ostbob4108 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @tacticaltuner4217

      Tou Chang - that didn’t improve the trigger weight it just help with the trigger/safety timing. After the trigger job was done the trigger safety would hang up so I put just a Bit of an angle on the safety so that the safety would disengage a second sooner.
