Just locking the bolt back has been my biggest challenge. This video in the first one minute of play,, just answered how to lock the bolt back in a very easy way. I went shooting today with this rilfe and had a hell of a time locking the bolt back to load it, casue I didn't know this very simple step and how this instructor uses his chest to hold the rilfe in place while pulling the charging handle and locking the bolt.

A few ARs, and just got this. I can't just insert a magazine, pull the charging handle and let it go. The round does not load. Now if if I press the bolt catch, and then insert a magazine, then press the bolt catch, the charging arm releases and properly loads a round. Ive damaged numerous rounds trying to just insert the magazine and pull and release the charging handle. Ive seen others do this on line, am I missing something?? Seems so much harder than my AR.

@@sillyboy32 you need to make sure you are charging the handle all the way back. You are more than likely short stroking it…

What magazines are you using please? U just got the X95 but it doesn't lock the MP 10 round magazine in but if I remove 2 just round and have 8 rounds in the magazine, only then it will lock. Trying to figure out better magazines.

I don't have many rounds through my new Tavor...ive had quite a few jams and failures. is this normal for these? Ive had no issues with any of my other firearms (AR, SCAR, etc). Any help or tips for this would be greatly appreciated.

Which jams have you had and what ammo are you using?

@@Tacticalfitnessaustin360 I’ve had not ejecting jams. Then getting another round stuck as it’s trying to push up from the magazine. I’ve had non firing jams and the round not clearing. Remove the magazine and pull the round out and cycle again. A couple of the times the rounds had dents in them from the jam. Using target ammo 7.62. Same ammo I use for all my other guns at the range that I never have an issue with.

@@michaelwagner2777 a few things to check. Make sure your gas regulator is on the correct setting, make sure the gun is lubricated per IWI manual, check your extractor and ejector and make sure they are clean.
      What brand of ammo? Grain?

Is it normal for mags not to seat without a good slap on a new x95? I have used multiple mags and adding a fully loaded mag on a closed bolt is pretty difficult. It normally requires a good slap. I have close to a thousand rounds on mine.

That’s the case with most rifles... load 29 or 28 rounds and it will fix the problem

A full magazine is never a issue on a TAVOR as long as the bolt is locked back first. Try it.
