34 pilots were some of the bravest Marines I saw....they came in and took our wounded and dead on Operation Hastings in the dead of night, pitch black, we guided them down with red lease flash lights, under heavy combat conditions. July 1966....

May God bless you sir. Welcome home. I was so glad to see that Golden Gate Bridge when I flew home in May of 69. I have tried to forget about Vietnam but the memories still remain.

I really liked the fact the interviewer is a combat vet as well as the Captain interviewed. I am another who at hearing he was a chopper pilot I was on pins & needles he flew Huey's. Not disappointed due to an old TV show where the co star flew that big bird too. Tho I always figured this huge ship could haul more people. It was this interview I clicked that *Subscribe.* I started with Vietnam Voices & like what I hear on the Atlanta History Center. I really got a kick out of that 75 points perfect score test.

Surprised the Raquel Welch flashback joke went over the interviewers head, he’s normally very sharp. We got it though Mr. Wade 👍
