Think of it this way, the default settings dictate that the bugs have natural expansion, which is exacerbated by factory introduction, therefore they would have turned the whole planet into a bug hive eventually regardless of player intervention and have already killed everything but the fish. They're basically just a bug apocalypse.
my biolab builder was surrounded by walls & uranium rounds gun turrets, even given a line of hazard concrete for effect, same for productivity module 3's
Yeah, I foresee lots of laser turrets when I build production. Another thing though, just use a burner tower since you can burn the eggs if they get too close to spoiling
@@Mr111theman Jelly also has a small chance to spoil in the biochamber before it manages to kickstart (it's not guaranteed that a bot brings a fresh one).
I second this suggestion, would be fun to cook my brain trying to follow along 😂 I keep falling asleep during the walk throughs after my brain gets to full on information lol
You can just use a buffer chest and select autotrash unrequested, logistic chests have trash slots now that will be filtered out right when they expire, much simpler should only ever need one chest instead of the 3-4 you use with filtering
Been looking forward to this DLC and having more opportunities to watch it rather than play it, I'm really appreciating and enjoying this new content. Always happy to hear it will go on for a long time
It's so funny to me that both myself and multiple people I've seen online seem to have independently picked 400 ammo to be the amount to wait for in the space platform
Can a biter egg hatch while it is being transported by a bot to the assembly area? If so, then it would spawn a biter in the middle of your base where there is no defenses right? 💀
Wouldn't it make more sense to build the capture rockets on Gleba? They are shelf stable unlike the bioflux and shelf stable means less spoilage filters. Im also curious about the Gleba soils. Can to use those to make tree farms anywhere or can they only be used in their own biome?
They can only be placed on particular tiles in the corresponding biome, the more advanced soils just have more possible tiles they can be placed on in the biome
You need Bioflux on Nauvis anyway to feed the Biter Nests. Capture Rockets only have 10 Rocket Capacity, so you need A LOT of rockets to transport them for gambling in Biolabs
might be to late, but your cooper factory at Gleba have codition for iron, so it will never stop, you can see at 15:48 I don't know if you already fixed it at another episode
So... Gleba has truly infinite resources relatively easily, (unlike Vulcanus which is pseudo-infinite due to calcite, until you reach Gleba for advanced asteroid processing) and the only downside is that you have to use the resources quickly and fight off natives. Why is this seen as the worst planet?
Well, technically speaking this is the most _challenging_ planet (because you had to relearn a lot of things compared to Nauvis). It's... like late Spiral Abyss, I think (yes, I play Genshin. No, never complete Lv 12 Spiral Abyss).
resources are infinite on Vulcanus. Calcite is barely used and there are 100M of it just around the starter base. With big mining drills and productivity I have barely exhausted half of the first patch in 150 hours
aight quick question. SO fighting biters is not actually my forte so I am playing a run which has biters turned off. Can I still have access too biter nests?
@@DenzelSinclair I just finished watching 😂 I found weird that he waited on reseaeching rocket turrets for captivity, but it now makes a lot of sense! I thought that when not fed the spawners would die off.
You can definitely do this without circuits, just loop the bacteria output back to the biochamber input and have any overflow go out of that loop. I then just use a priority splitter to send it to smelting, and have recyclers for any extra it produces.
combined with rarity and more module slots it would be problematic since Recycler + 4 Legendary Quality T3 Productivity modules is already a very high return yield
i have a hard time playing this game since they changed controler options ,i use xbox 1 controler and they nerfed my keyboard and mouse fuction in conjuction, have you ever played hydroneer ,there is a ton of people playing that need your help there are no good info channels on it fyi
wanna try ur strategy, but unfortunately, i don't have a pc( i'm looking for a solution how i can play for it on my smartphone, and all that i found it's a cloud gaming and boosteroid. would be so cool if u make a review about it and say ur opinion, 'cause it's so important to me!
That is how thumbnails work. the game has been available for 14 days, if you don't want spoilers then stay off the internet. PS. Snape kills Dumbledore
The more I watch this series the more I realize how inconvenient and tedious all that DLS is. Traveling without inventory? Okay. Having miserable 50 inserters for a whole rocket load? Ooookay. Gacha games with quality? Well, sorta okay. But having whole endgame stuff locked behind this fucking spoilage? C'mon, guys, who even invented that?
Have to say the whole alien egg breeding, capture rocket and biolab mechanic is amazing. That said - it confirms that we are that bad guys.
Considering comparisons have been made between Factorio factory growth and cancer, I’m not surprised.

@@Skewrz You are still invading their planet and exploiting just like EU/Usa/China.
I'm more than willing to build around the bugs and leave them be, but they won't go to the peace negotiations :(
did the flamethrower and flame turret spam not tip you off?
I have this vision of any production involving alien eggs to take place in a *very* well walled-off section of the factory.
Surrounded by flamethrower?
@@rusdanibudiwicaksono1879 Surrounded by a dozen spidertrons carrying atomic bombs*
A friendly reminder; hatched spoilage retains their quality; meaning legendary biters are in-fact a possibility thanks to quality.

the splitter gets fixed in the vide this time all, don't worry, 11:50

I was about to ask him to fix the splitter, but looks like there is no need for that... this time
Consider adding a spoilage filtered inserter to remove potential jelly spoilage in the iron bacteria kickstart requester chest
Oh, trash unrequested does the same

Man I was thinking the same thing...
Visit Fulgora first! Fix up all the quality machines to prepare for epic. And it's cool to have a uranium recipe that's not fuel or weapon related!

@KomodoKiller what I understand is: If rarity doesn't equal blue, recycle. If blue or higher, keep! With a whole bunch of circuitry.
once u unlock epic quality i think no matter where u want to go ... Fulgora MAY need to be ur first visit like asap

Go fulgora and go deep on the quality. need those legendary ships for aquilo and beyond.
Legendary is unlocked at Aquilo. Can only do Epic before
Someone please do a Croissant Mod!
Alas, could you trash the near-spoiled bitter egg by throwing it into a furnace?

@@Nilaus And I'm sure that there's probably billions of calcite just a little further out, to boot
my guys if you throw excess into heating towers and use efficiency modules you don't have to relearn much of anything
"No Modules or anything". Probably for the best. I don't want to know where you'd have to put it.
If you turn on "Trash unrequested" does it mean that all chests become active provider chests?
Yup! You can also turn on the setting for yourself so you can clear your inventory of junk.

I want to see the modifications after taking the next quality upgrade. I have a feeling a lot will break.
Wanted to know if stuff can spoil while in your build que? Or is that a work around to keep stuff from spoiling in your inventory?
it spoils anywhere. There is no "safe" time for spoilage; it can spoil while an inserter is swinging and trying to insert
Can you transport items from one space platform to another?
Should you just pump all research into the heavens?
You need to drop it to a planet and bring it back up with another rocket
Biolabs only work on Nauvis
29:36 Actually why can't he build a wall around the tamed biter nest to prevent biter expansions?
I can build a wall, but the issue is that Behemoth worms spawn within range and start attacking (48 range)
@@Nilaus Wait, it's possible for Behemoth worms to spawn from a tamed biter nest?
@@AwesomeNPro No, but spoiled biter eggs _will_ spawn behemoth biters. Walls won't help you, fast transport (and/ or lots of flamethrower) would.

Biochambers use Nutrients and Efficiency modules affect that.
how do you kickstart the ore production when it stalls ?

I think there should be modules lvl 4 with space age. Not just make old modules harder to get
