I love a lot of these newer bands, but I just can’t get with the entire crowd being so spread out these days. Like….the entire venue is in the back. Nobody up front. The look and feel of it is off for me. But, things change, I’m 40 and it was all pileups and sing-a-longs “back in the day.” With that’s said, it’s awesome to see hardcore still thriving with so much young talent.

Just be happy for the new breed. There's bands for every type of crowd/venue. Support by paying for shows, buying their merch. And mosh coz you want to, not coz you'd be the only one up front or pitting. That's about it.

it's just different styles of bands. DOP is a pure mosh band that doesn't have singalong parts to pile on to. look at the restraining order set also from this fest. stage dives abound
