Cesar asked Eli (Rock Tenor) if he could do it. He hit it and Eli said it's yours. Omar Cardona is the middle guy and Is featured in a few of his videos.

@@musikbyjh thank you for a priceless reaction to Voice Play. Please do a reaction video to Voice Plays cover of Peaches ( Bowser, Mario, Luigi & Toad ). Geoff unleashes his inner Rock God in this one. Look out Eli, Geoff is coming for you lol. They did this outside live. One of Layne's daughters makes a cameo appearance as Peaches in the end. I swear these guys have too much fun. You will be amazed by Geoff the Rock God.
@@musikbyjh I believe the sound you were referring to that the beatboxer did was the sound of a critter running across the floor in an old abandoned building as they often do.
The one you didn’t recognize is Omar Cardona. He’s featured with them several times and is Cesar’s roommate. He also was a finalist in last season’s The Voice.
Any of the three - Eli, Omar, or Cesar - could have hit the highest note. (Yes, even though Cesar is billed as baritone. None of the guys stick to the description.) but Cesar wanted it so they let him do it.
Patrons have their newest video now, and you won’t want to miss it when it comes out. In the mean time, have you heard their Nothing Else Matters? I can’t say more, you just have to hear it.

@@musikbyjh He is on "The Dragonborn Comes" theme from Skyrim.
This the go to group (of any kind of style) for video game songs (halo, dragonborn comes, enemy)
And Halloween (Hall of the Mountain king, hide and seek, oogie Boogie, this is Halloween)
They own the title deed to these songs and no one is taking it.
You need to check out Geoff's solowork as well. If you want to hear some of the range he has, go for his cover of Radiohead High and Dry.

@@musikbyjhGeoff Castallucci does a solo cover to Sounds Of Silence. He really knows how to reach deep down into your soul with this one. He will definitely surprise you towards the end. Please do a reaction to it. As you will find out the more you get into Geoff's solo covers he loves to clone himself 3 or 4 times & harmonizes with himself beautifully. In his take of SOUNDS OF Silence his clones are not seen but trust me, they are there to back him up.
Would love to see you react to Geoff's versions of "Jack's Lament" from Nightmare Before Christmas and "Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold" from the Hobbit.

In Valhalla Calling and Nothing Else Matters you also saw J None, their former baritone.
They’re all excellent!!
For the most part, Geoff and Layne take turns arranging their full length songs (but most of their shorts, about 30-90 seconds long, are arranged by Rob Dietz). Eli does the lighting in most of their videos, and has arranged a few as well. Cesar brings the coffee and the sass 😁. Geoff’s wife Kathy is their production manager.
Cesar hit the high note. Eli was going to, but Cesar wanted to do it and he rocked it! Great reaction!!
Omar Cardona, in the center was the featured artist. They still are one permanent member short. Their featured artists are usually placed in the center.
Omar has appeared with them several times, Carry On Wayward Son (Kansas) and Dragonborn Comes/Skyrim are my favorites.
Carry On was done when J None was still a member of the group, but after they lost their high tenor, Earl Elkins Jr, who left in 2020 for undisclosed personal reasons.
If we haven't mentioned it, Geoff Castellucci has a solo channel that he started when Covid hit and Voiceplay could no longer tour. He sings four or five part harmony in those solos. He recently did Sound of Silence, it's the first one (so far) where you don't see multiple Geoff's.
Actually, there's also "High and dry" where we don't see multiple Geoffs, but it's also the only one that I know of where he doesn't harmonise with himself, so it's just "right" that there is only one of him. In "The sound of silence" he does harmonise with himself, but we don't see the other Geoffs, and in that it's one of a kind. 🙂
tracked back here from the short only to see that yep, I already listened. Really enjoying your reactions - been listening to you on Ren & Chinchilla, and now I see you've also been reacting to Dimash. Add Dirty Loops (Follow the Light is a good place to start) and you'll be doing all 5 of my top obsessions. From where I sit the only thing they all have in common is their intense musicianship and obsession with detail. Artists, all of them. I'd already liked, but now I've subscribed. It was Cesar De La Rosa who did the highest nite. Omar Cardona was pretty up there too. Eli took it just a pinch lower.

Omar Cardona is also great in their cover of "Superstition", which is also terribly underratet. It's so funny/interesting/well done - can't understand why people don't see that. I'm so glad you loved this! They did such a good job with this song. And I don't think you ever really get used to geoff's deep notes, you can tell yourself you do but then he goes even deeper 😂 i think you'll also enjoy their cover of carry on wayward son and the new one they will be dropping either this Friday or next 😉
The "Who's that" is Omar Cardona. He is a regular featured artist and was on The Voice last year. Related (literally) Is EJ Cardona who also has a feat with Voiceplay but typically sings with the group Voctave (which you need to check out)
As others have said, Omar Cardona has guested with Voiceplay several times. He has an older brother EJ Cardona, who has also been in a couple of Voiceplay videos. EJ also sings with another Orlando-based acapella group that i don't think you have reacted to, called Voctave. They are a bit different from the Big 3, in that they are a vocal ensemble with up to 11 members depending on the age of the video you're watching. The group has both male and female singers and they cover about 5 or 6 octaves when stacking chords. They all work or have worked at Disney, so they do mostly Disney and pop songs. May not be your bag, but well worth a listen.
Carry On Wayward Son is probably my absolute favorite cover from VoicePlay.
That is Omar Cordonna! He did The Dragonborn Comes with them! Great singer!

The high note was cesar. Omar appears also in dragonborn comes/skyrim.
Probably my favorite by Voiceplay. Amazing voices. One of my other favorites is Tennessee Whiskey, which is an older one.

Eli ( pronounced Ellie, it is short for Eliezer) is the bald rock tenor, Cesar is the handsome young man with the beard, Geoff needs no introduction, Layne is the amazing beatboxer and the other little Hispanic guy is Omar Cardona who joins them from time to time.

There was a lot of speculation on the high note since Eli and guest artist Omar are both formidable tenors, but it was Cesar.
Omar Cardona was from The Voice. I believe he placed 4th during his year. Glad to get to see him collaborating with VoicePlay.
Omar has done several songs with VP, but my favorite is Dragonborn Comes.
Omar's older brother EJ. sings with Voctave and has done videos with VP, including Go the Distance and I Can't Make You Love Me (Cesar will make you cry).
E.J.'s wife is one-third of American Sirens. They collaborated with Geoff on his solo Mele Kelikimaka. He has a wide range of solo videos to pick from, all excellent. My current favorites are Way Down and Ghost Riders.
All four guys in VP can beatbox and sing tenor, baritone, and bass ... just with varying degrees of range within those registers. None of them stay in their lane.
There are plenty of reactors who offer entertainment. With your background and skill sets I'm hoping for a little more analysis and insight.

At the moment they are down a member, so they have a rotating cast of featured artists who join them as schedules allow.
We all expected Eli to hit that note-when we knew Omar (middle guy-frequent guest) was going to be the guest he seemed like a likely one too. But Cesar-theoretically the baritone-was the guy who got to do it.
What it Do Dave said Layne turned into a velociraptor-that was a reaction for their latest, Seven Nation Army, but I’m going to think velociraptor every time Layne does one of these crazy sounds.

This is one of my favorites by VoicePlay. They are so good. Omar Cardona competed in the Voice and finished 4th in season 22 at the end of 2022. Check out some of his performances.

Omar Cardona was their guest singer for this. He actually does a lot of videos with them, and he's amazing.

Eli (rhymes with jelly) is the line. Cesar was sitting in the stairwell, Omar (featured vocalist) Cardona is the fellow you didn't recognize. Geoff is the bass and Layne the vocal percussion. It will surprise you to think of Cesar at the high notes but he really wanted to do it so in spite of being considered a baritone/tenor he can reach it. You can hear Omar again when VoicePlay did a cover of Kansas' Carry On My Wayward Son. Omar has done several videos with VP and has been on The Voice where he was one of the finalists. His brother EJ Cardona (is in Voctave) also has done a couple with VP (Go the Distance and I Can't Make You Love Me). No one has replaced J None but having the empty slot let's VoicePlay change up the lineup and get some new sound and a female touch too which really is remarkable.
I hope you do some more VoicePlay soon like their version of Butter from BTS AND alot more songs Omar was also in Dragon Born Comes from the game Skyrim, Another one the ft alot is Deejay Young in their songs. I just hope do some more.

Thank you for saying that "you do not want to play favourites". Acapella as a genre is too underrated to start fighting who is the best Acapella band and who is the most underrated.

This one is seen as the sequel to Warrior. It's a couple years down the road of the zombie apocalypse and while they've lost J None and Earl, they've picked up Omar and Cesar along the way. and Seven Nation Army is the third in the zombie apocalypse trilogy

Awesome. Love this one so much. Always have to click it when it comes up in my suggestions. As for who that one guy is, I know some of the members of the group have changed over the years. His name is Omar Cardona. Not sure if he joined the group or was a guest, but yeah I love his voice. His runs… absolutely unreal.

They can all l reach higher and lower than 'vocal classifications' Cesar hit the highest note even though he's classed as baritenor.. Eli can go low . Geoff has 5 octave range. Layne is a human drum kit, door creaking, violin playing freak of nature.. Omar, who features here has the sweetest angelic voice in the dragon born comes... they are all amazing...❤

Superstition, Carry On Wayward Son, and The Dragonborn Comes, spring to mind.
Omar was on the most recent season of The Voice and came in 2nd. Many of us believe he should've won, but "for reasons" a country-singing caucasion boy won instead. Sigh.
You really should look for his songs on the Voice. He was phenomenal !
