All my friends were Raider fans and next thing you know its senior year and buccs and raiders going to SUPERBOWL. Im the only one wearing Tampa gear everyone else wearing raiders. Felt So Good being the only buccs Fan and felt even better teasing all the raider fans plus i bet 19 friends and 2 teacher's $20 each i could have bet against 24-25 people total but i knew that the buccs Defense was going to hurt the raiders by Quarterback sacks , fumbles, interceptions, and rushing tochdowns. So i wanted 420 to be my wining amount because that number yeah was my number well thats a different story anyways im So proud and happy they won the SUPERBOWL During this awful pandemic and corona virus bull crap My team came through making it A more Positive happy anything is possible never give up Type of joy and happiness

    Two of the biggest Pick Sixes in team history that one season: Ronde Barber's 92-yarder that literally closed down the Old Vet, and Derrick Brooks' dagger to cement the Super Bowl win. And it's a tough argument over which one was the bigger deal (Brooks was a SB clincher, sure, but Ronde's was more epic and killed a lot of Bucs demons - playoff win on the road, in the cold, against a dominant Eagles team that burned us earlier in the regular season - in one blow)

    • @dannyboy34677
      @dannyboy34677 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      and another thing you have to remember as well, the previous three years (1999 NFCCG loss to Rams in St Louis, 2000 & 2001 WC losses up there to the Eagles), especially the latter two. Ronde's pick 6 I agree was more epic for the reasons you mentioned and the previous two years in the WC Game up there both times.

I'd take Ronde Barber over Richard Sherman, and most certainly take John Lynch over the overrated Kam Chancellor. Brian Kelly got hurt in that Indy game the next year when Dungy came home and Manning just completely blew-up the backup, I don't even recall who it was anymore as I blocked his name out. No one ever talks about that comeback and how it happened - it happened because Kelly was injured. He really was the unnamed glue to that secondary as the Bucs had no depth because they had no cap room, so if a starter went down, there was a lot of problems.

    • @rodmunch69

    The 2013 Seahawks are still the best defense of all time strictly from a era stand point. They dominanted the league during a time where high powered offenses ran rampant. These Bucs however, I have them as the 2nd best defense of all time above even the 2000 Ravens and 85 Bears. Reason being, this Bucs team played significantly tougher opponents than those Ravens and Bears teams, and they destroyed a #1 offense in the Super Bowl.
    #1 - 2013 Seahawks
    #2 - 2002 Buccaneers
    #3 - 2000 Ravens
    #4 - 1985 Bears
    #5 - 2015 Broncos

    • @skylerward1671
      @skylerward1671 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd put the Broncos over the Bears. They got extremely lucky that Miami came out flat in the AFC Championship game that year. Shula and Marino absolutely picked apart the 46 defense. Knowing Shula, he would've come up with a great game plan to do it again.

My top ones would be Ray Lewis, London Fletcher, Derrick Brooks, Zach Thomas, and Brian Urlacher. Too many people forget how good Brooks was in coverage, definitely better than Ray Lewis. Somehow Zach Thomas is still not in the Hall of Fame, but Urlacher, who had very similar stats got in first ballot no problem. I think Fletcher will also run into the same issue. Except for interceptions, Fletcher was right there with Ray Lewis for most stats. Thomas was equal to, if not better than Urlacher. Also, Thomas never got juked out by Tom Brady like Urlacher. This is my favorite defense of all time. No one can compare in pass defense. Maybe I'd give you the 2015 Broncos. 85 Bears got picked apart by Dan Marino and he would've done it again. 2000 Ravens were very good against the pass, but their real bread and butter was against the run. Essentially, these were the 2013 Seahawks done better. The only player in the Legion of Boom I'd say is better than any of these guys is Earl Thomas. John Lynch was far better than Kam Chancellor could've ever hoped to be. Chancellor was good, but he was just a hard hitting safety, like we haven't seen that before. John Lynch, Jack Tatum, Ed Reed, Brian Dawkins, and Ronnie Lott did what Chancellor did but a lot better. Then I'd take this front four over any of the others of the other top defenses, except again, maybe Denver. I'd take these linebacker groups over any of the others as well because they could cover better than any of the other units, with Bobby Wagner being my exception to that.

    Simeon rice and warren sapp. They were the key for the defense. The pressure they applied to get to qb. derrick brooks and john lynch were weak against running backs. But they hit hard most times. Ronde barber is not that athletic but he find his time.
