Can I just say that I love the fact Tim Daly does Bizarro’s voice as well as Superman? He gets to show off his wide range and skillset when playing Bizarro. His voice acting is so highly under-appreciated
I love how Bizarros version of Krypto the Superdog is just a monstrous eating machine. I also truly love how Clark sees Bizarro almost like his brother and instead of fighting him he'd rather give him a new home and make sure he lives a happier life
I love how bizzaro krypto is not being playful he's attacking Bizzaro and being aggressive but since Bizzaro is invulnerable he thinks he's being affectionate and playful
I don't think anyone else reacts to Bizarro like you. I don't think anybody else even reacts to Superman TAS! Most people prefer to make react videos of Batman TAS.
What's really endearing is that in his debut episode Bizarro used to resent Superman as he believed himself to be the real one, but in this one he welcomed Superman with open arms (until the fight over blowing up Metropolis).
@@Nelson_Win Yep, Hugo naming pets George because George is the name of Lennie's best friend in 'Of Mice and Men' too, thankfully Bizarro's story here doesn't end as tragically as that book (Also an extra bit of trivia is that George and Lennie also inspired two of the Mogwai/Gremlins in Gremlins 2 The New Batch :P Warner Bros must really like that book) Hm, I haven't seen those Looney Tunes with Hugo in them in ages. I'll go look them up. :D
@@Nelson_Win Oh yeah, been a couple years since I did a full rewatch of Superman TAS and I'm enjoying being reminded of these great episodes watching with Meg here. I never really understood the point of watching 'reactions' some time ago but then I realised it's kinda cool to experience something you've already seen through the eyes of someone experiencing it for the first time and Meg's been a great one to watch especially for Superman and Batman TAS. :D
One aspect a lot of adaptations, especially the live action ones, tend to miss out on is Superman being an intergalactic social worker. Just trying to help people, even if those people are super beings from other planets or dimensions.
I love how in so many comics and anime the "dark side of the same coin" villain is treated as a punching bag or intellectual challenge to overcome. I'm so glad that Bizarro is (at least in this series) treated as an emotional and empathy chaplenge for superman. It shows the strengths of both charactera greatly! Also Meg, I really needed to hear that message at the end right now, so thank you for making me feel a little better, about myself and in general! :)
The lesson is that Bizarro was not malicious, but his lack of awareness/understanding was too dangerous for everyone else. Superman had to isolate Bizarro, but not in a way that would hurt his dignity. Sometimes exile is the answer? Superman had to manipulate Bizarro a few times by understanding how Bizarro thinks. Throwing Kryptonite and saying "catch", the safety of Lois, playing along with the "destruction of Krypton" but adding an "after", bringing Bizarro's Krypto with them.
That's both the joke and the tragedy of Bizarro-he is every bit as good as Superman, but unlike him, he can't really control or hide how different he is.
Unfortunately, not a lot of people have reacted to this awesome show. Either they saw it already when they were kids, or they want to watch the Animated DC Movie Universe, or the Snyder-Verse. I'd guess it's because they perceive them as shorter, or streamlined or they think live-action is always superior or whatever. Whatever their reasoning... Good for them, they're wrong. The Batman and Superman Animated series, as well as Justice League, Batman Beyond, Static Shock and Justice League Unlimited... Are, in my opinion... Faaaaaar and away the SUPERIOR version of the DC Universe. The DCAU is where you start if you wanna understand the appeal of the DC Universe.
I love your BTAS reactions but I subscribed because you reacted to Superman the animated series which I love too. Oh and your love for Bizarro is awesome . There are so many characters one can relate to but I love that you can go into how and why you can relate to a lot of characters.
the kryptonite in the begining was almost certainly because superman clocked in on what Bizzaro was doing. He gets bizarro and he sees how he made it resemble krypton. the threat of the destruction of his city needed drastic measures.
Made me a subscriber with this one. Thanks for explaining your perspective on this episode. I never saw this episode the way you did. As a parent I’m showing my daughter these shows I grew up with. Makes me wonder what perspective my daughter will have when she’s older and able to articulate her thoughts. I am appreciating the talent these shows have as actors. My childhood shows were heavily influenced but Andrea Ramano’s direction.
It's a shame this cartoon get as near enough attention as it deserves, at least My Adventures with Superman exist, it's not my cup of tea, but I am just happy Superman has another cartoon, at least he has plenty of good Live Action shows though.

Tim daly is the definitive Superman, just like Kevin conroy will always be the definitive Batman
I didn't even know that!
i hated when he didn't revoice Superman in Justice League
@@no1guy825 at least we got to hear George Newbern songs voice. He’s a pretty good Superman too
13:45 He gave him a planet to protect and a purpose to live. Not many people can do that, is one of the reasons Superman is a great character
I love how Bizarros version of Krypto the Superdog is just a monstrous eating machine. I also truly love how Clark sees Bizarro almost like his brother and instead of fighting him he'd rather give him a new home and make sure he lives a happier life
I feel that Bizarro is basically Superman's brother who he feels responsible for

I adore how much you adore Bizarro.

7:02 Bizarro's "Me take you home" is basically a Looney Tunes reference where the abominable snowman wanting to adopt anyone he sees.
Hugo the Abominable Snowman? Yeah, and he's based on Lennie from the book 'Of Mice and Men'.
@@carn9507 "I will name him George!"

Lol, I love Bizarro's relationship with "Krypto". And your reaction to the end!

I think most people aren't aware at how mature these shows were for kids shows
Fun fact: In some versions, Bizarro isn't just immune to kyrptonite, it actually makes him stronger
the fucking lizard crypto is amazing i forgot about that
Bizarro is affected by Blue Kryptonite. 🔵👍

Meg loves the broken characters
Me love Bizarro. Bizarro just trying him best.
Me 2
Another interesting but different Bizarro I have seen recently was his portrayal in the Superman & Lois TV show which I think is quite good.
1:10 I really thought you were gonna say "Let's...get... BIZARRE!" :P
3:58 your right, on the inside he really is tride and true, Superman.
It's also Tim Daly doing Bizarro!

Tim Daly is the voice of both Superman AND Bizarro.
I always laugh how Superman kind of throws Lois under the bus in this one a little bit. Just sends Bizarro after her to keep him busy for a minute.
There are different colors of kryptonite, bizzaro just isn’t affected by green kryptonite like Superman
I am so sorry that I fell behind with your reactions but please know that I really appreciate you helpping me relive one of my childhood favorites!
One of my fave episodes of the series
Have a Super Friday, Super Meg.🎊🦸♀️🎊
I’ve read a few reviews that got the same reaction that you had to this episode.

I used to have comic books that featured Bazaro.
4:12 I don’t know what kind of 👽 🦎 🐶 is that, anyway.
Me love Superman reactions!
I think you would really enjoy the Persona video games, this is the second time you brought up the "Shadow Self" in a Superman video lol.
Hi Meg hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
How come DC has brilliant animated films and shows but can't make a good cinematic universe?
hi Meg
Go read red hood and the outlaws for the best version of bizarro
That run of Red Hood is so good, Jason, Artemis and Bizarro were my favourite lineup
Funny 😅
I can't wait until you meet Solomon Grundy.
Oh, you follow Jung? That's cool.
:,)
