As the driver on this day, thank you for filming this wonderful and scenic bus route in Dorset. Although at your film speed it's like being on a roller coaster! Thou the actual drive was much better! I hope!
peter ferns That's okay, the trip was brilliant, and I'd highly recommend this route to anyone (already started recommending this route to people in London)
O.m.g. it takes me back to the time when I stayed at the family holiday home near swanage. We stayed in a lovely house in Langton matters it's only a village but the house was lovely. I also visited Bournemouthe again with my family it was a day trip my father drove onto the ferry then forward to Bournemouthe nice trip. I haven't been to Bournemouthe for years but I will consider it quite soon.
My next door neighbour had a caravan at highcliffe near Bournemouth it was his holiday home on the south coast of England. Twice a year he would head their with his wife he did all the driving from Glasgow to their holiday mobile home in highcliffe.
Great route, though the first time I did it (2013, I think) I was upstairs and nearly got clobbered by an overhanging tree on the return journey to Bournemouth, so be warned! Last time I did this (summer 2017) there was a heck of a wait at Studland for the ferry to Sandbanks, and the bus was 15-20 mins late into Bournemouth, which normally would have been too late for the last bus back to Christchurch where I was staying with relatives, but as it turned out that bus was late too because of a traffic accident.
ultradude973 Not very often essoeacially not often in the summer for a closed top due to adverse weather as they will only have a enough buses for 1 or 2 closed tops because in summer they use note buses on the 50 plus they take the roofs off of the convertible open toppers

This is one of my all time favourite bus routes, and it's one I've travelled many times. The open top bus is the icing on the cake.
