I'm ten years older than Natasha, have been through the same addictions, and had periods of scrounging for coins in the cushions, so it's heartening to see her renewed, healthy, and seemingly happy. Her humility reminds me that we're not defined by our stature, and that happiness can be a crossword puzzle, snuggled next to your dog or cat.
Season 1? That implies there will be another season... I don't think that's possible, and the show should stand on it's own. Wrapped up just the way it should, and should be left that way. Although I will say it was one of those shows that pulled me in enough that I actually felt a little bit sad when it was over. It would be nice to see the characters in another season, but it wouldn't make any sense. Not unless it's an anthology thing where another couple go through a similar experience, maybe with Lyonne's character as a side character that discovers them or something.
@@jessicab2409 I know! Facially, she resembles Stevie. She's 2" taller, but close enough. She might have to work on the New York accent (Stevie Nicks is from Arizona), but the natural raspiness is in Natasha Lyonne's voice so I think she could pull it off.
As long as she stays off drugs and alcohol. Man, those were the heady days when she would threaten to molest the neighbor's dog. Good times, good times.
This series exemplifies true girl power in film/tv. Not the phony, forced PC stuff we are seeing elsewhere. This is how you do it! Make a great product and don't ask for anything. What a brilliant piece of work Russian Doll is.
Love Natasha! i love how down to earth she seems compared to even people i know in real life. The series looks great and the only reason i'm keeping my netflix.
Holy crap thank you for interviewing Natasha! The series is one of the best psychedelic thrillers that I've seen in a while. This got me on the psychological train real fast, thinking about daily life, and even confusing my own repetitive experiences! LOVED IT. Gonna do a response video like RIGHT NOW!
This show is aptly named. It's so incredibly layered. The last episode really blew my mind away. I love any kind of mindbender show or any show that really is unpredictable. The ending was so appropriate and reminded me a little of the writing for the Good Place in how it deals with choice and free will.
I adore this woman. Not for her celebrity. I don't care about that. She had shown up in my dreams and mirrored repressed aspects of me. She has helped me be proudly strong and decisive and vulnerable...I can't thank her enough for her presence in my dream time. Her heart is strong and clear and her mind is creative. She is a force to be reckoned with. She is always undeniably herself. We are lucky that she is famous as we get to hear so much from her. She is a celebrity but I think we are the lucky ones in this mix.
Russian doll was a fantastic show, it's been a long time since I've been so hyped, it's super unique and all of it was simply intriguing and I watched it all in one day
Natasha has been through A LOT and has come such a long way. I'm so happy she's still sober and now has a thriving career. I'm looking forward to watching her show!
Russian Doll really surprised me... first it cached me with its interesting mix of perfectly fitting music, New York architecture and contraddictional characters... but I never aspected it would have turned after few episodes into such a deep story... expecially the human struggles with the topic "death"... how to somehow survive death? How to give sense? ... And it surpised me again with the ending, which is not much about healing the pain but remembering of the power of sharing... remebered of the Series "Maniac".. maybe Natasha Lyonne and Fukunaga should do something new together :)
Oh man, that's so funny they're relating the show to the choose your own adventure books lol. It's Groundhog's Day man....but with many, many more layers. At one point it reminded me a bit of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Looks and sounds incredibly interesting. Hey, do you know she looks ridiculously like this Russian top celebrity, female singer, called Alla Pugachyova. I mean the character in this aeries, her voice, hair style, the whole image is just alike to that singer when she was younger.
I have SO many questions about the details in this show! It’s so amazing and so layered (like a Russian Doll lol) that I can’t help but try and dissect it but I’m stuck on a few of the details! Like what meaning do the fish, and Alan’s elderly neighbor hold?
100% agree. I feel so lucky to have watched the show before I saw the trailer, and am trying to get friends to watch it ASAP before it gets spoiled for them.
Unless I watched it very inattentively, the original trailer on Netflix didn't do this (for which I'm personally grateful) and the show became a hit without the spoiler, so it's nuts that they did this. A real shame. It's such a satisfying twist in the show.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 What an amazing show, easily a 5!!! I've watched Season 1 and finished it in one night. I found that Natasha who plays as Nadia in this show is the baddest, sickest and most mesmerizing actress that I discovered last night! Never knew her until Russian Doll and now she's stuck in my head. She played Nadia like her own skin and all these bad habits makes her really unique and special. Is it a bad thing that I have a small urge to smoke like hell just because Nadia does it like she's a fuckin chimney? Lol Idk I can't wait for season 2! 🥰🥰🥰
My wife and I watched the first three episodes last night ... captivated ... lovin' it. This week is a guaranteed binge week for Russian Doll. I didn't know her name, just remembered (sorry) Orange is the new Black junkie ranga. Discovering this person was Natasha Lyonne ... a real person with lots of talent ... made sense. Amy Poehler is kinda a "qualification" ... she don't do crap. I'm a fan. $0.02. Refund requests happily redeemed by carrier pigeon, golden retriever, or dragon.
Oh wow, I had no clue this was autobiographical to some degree. That really puts a spin on things when thinking about their relationship with their mother.
Basically showed us the entire show in the beginning but there still dope subtle stuff to pick up on. So dont let that stop you from watching just because they overshared

"If you're stuck in your life, it's a form of death..." - YES! This is so true. This show really captures this feeling.
yea great line and very true, on a physical level that is also literally true. death is absence of motion.
I'll watch ANYTHING Natasha Lyonne is in! She only picks the best jobs.
BTS Obsessed ha she plays Smokey Quartz in Steven Universe.
Like what else? Curious now!
@@flutter2386 Nicky Nichols in Orange Is the New Black, Megan in But I'm a Cheerleader, Jessica in American Pie...etc
watch “Freeway II: Confessions of a Trickbaby” :)
She’s been in alot of garbage lmao. No hate though, I still think she’s amazing. This show really won me over with her acting.

Loved it so much. It’s was concluded beautifully. I feel like we don’t need a season 2
Totally agree! Season one ended perfectly. No need to screw it up with another whole season
I loved that they didn't force an open ending.
agree
Agree. I'd rather see her do another project.
I am so excited for season 2 i have an overwhelming feeling this show is going to get more and more interesting as it goes...
I couldn't love this woman more. I ADORE Natasha.
If a biopic was ever made about Stevie Nicks....
Jeff Matthew YES. 👍🏻

I have not made that connection until now.
Stevie Nicks....and if she was a bit younger Janis Joplin.
Totally that would be a interesting project for her.
Russian Doll is phenomenal AF. Must see! P.S. Cannot wait for season 2.
Is it confirmed?
What would happened in a second season? Honestly don’t think there would be one
I dont think that show need a 2nd season , its good how it is and how it ended

I just watched the whole season and I'm legit gonna re start it again it was THAT interesting.
I just love her voice!
just watched , its a class act. I laughed I cried I am thankful for my life/
I love that after Orange, she’s still grateful and conscious of the fact she has Uber money.

Hit the nail on the head.
Yes you nailed it. The ending made me cry seeing her being this strong women would with head held high after all the shit she went through.
Unfortunately most of the PC grifters do not actually have the talent so they need to use guilt shame and coercion to get their garbage made.
Russian Doll is amazing fun ride. Enjoyed the hell out of it.
god i'm so gay for her
at 5:40 I was certain that firetruck was about to crash into the building and kill her, then the interview was going to start over D:
Oh sweet jesus how did I not notice that
Gotta get up gotta get out gotta get home before the morning, Natasha:" Holy sh*t died at an interview? That's a new one."

Russian Doll has superseded Stranger Things for best series on Netflix, hands down.
i so agree!!
Stranger Things was never the best series on Netflix
Well, not sure this show would last as long as stranger things has. Plus it lacks the watch with family element
watched the whole season in one day! loved it
Her voice is very soothing. That youtube channel should get her to do ASMR. W or something, the one that has celebrities make sounds.
