Hi! :) Thanks so much! :) Your kind words and support are truly appreciated! :) Apologies for late reply. Enjoyed reading this! Hope you’re having a wonderful day!
So much attention to detail-cleaning out silage boxes, blowing off the combine, and fixing the air filter issue. It's great seeing the behind-the-scenes maintenance that keeps everything running smoothly! 🌾🚜
That looks like a new James way manure tanker we run a double 5000 nuhn manure tanker for pumping hog barns we had the same problem with our combine with the air filter
Apologies for late reply! Awesome to hear about the farming out your way! :) Hope hauling for the hog barns went greatly! Thanks for sharing about the combine same issue! Glad we got it fixed, hope all is well for you too! :)
Why do you chop the stalks a second time. In the video when you were chopping stalks there seemed to be stalks to the right which had not been chopped, why did you not chop those stalks. Final question, will your Uncle apply extra manure to the parts of the field that had the stalks chopped. Good luck with the weather and yields for corn harvest.
Apologies for late reply! Thanks for asking! :) We chop the stalks a second time to put it in a row, ready for the baler, instead of using a rake. We also like that it seems to gather the stalks/make it finer, with the stalk chopper vs our rake method. In the video, if there was any areas not stalked chopped twice, or even once, I still yet had to go over them, or if the ground seemed more bare, it would have been from the reason we didn’t combine the corn in that area, we did silage with a chopper. This field had all the combinations of harvest methods/equipment :) He then spread manure ontop. Hopefully that answered some questions :) Thanks so much! :)

Love seeing you all out working on the same field with all the equipment.
