People are tired of continuing to farm hours and hours of spells and things that should be accessible immediately. Penetration jewels must be removable like pins to facilitate the creation of double school jewels, this is no longer a game to have fun with but has become a full-time job with thankless rewards
It was much better before when you completed world quests and could do pvp pve tournaments etc. Now it's a constant torture to progress through the story with each new world they add things to waste their players' time and money, and a deliberately made greedy and evil mechanic.@@Bromine35.k
The irony is that the more awful grinding they force upon us, the less I want to actually play the game and I'm not paying them another single cent beyond membership. if only they were smart enough to realise how bad we talk about the game with everyone else. I remember commments of should I return to the game? I used to respond with yes despite issues. Today I could probably respond with 1000 words criticising this game and the Muppets in charge
I understand its hard to improve on blade aoe in normal combat but thats the job of the devs, not players. I was hoping that weaving would allow a storm to make a storm lord a drain, or a give a tower shield with ice weaving, or give a dragon blade / mantle with balance, a dot with fire, a fairy worth of healing with life weaving. Some kind of school identifiable effect that actually feels school based. Right now weaving feels uninspired and a half baked. Astral weaving could allow the utility of playing a feint and maybe getting a a beserk aura for 2 rounds and half the potency. Power creep is always a concern but atp a normal battle is 1-3 rounds max since Celestia / Zafaria. If weaving is ONLY mean for roshambo them market it as a "roshambo updates" rather then "hundres of new spells that 97% of the playerbase can't / won't use!"
Weaving itself other then the buff spells (which have the issue of vastly diffrent pve usefulness) is highly tailored to PvP which is an issue cause most players dont do PvP a lot or at all. It just feels bad that they introduce this system and then make a large part of it balanced around PvP with most of the new spells being useless in PvE. They dont have to break free from the whole blade + hit meta, but they should at least add more options with spells that gambit other things but are designed round doing good damage in PvE or adding fusion that allow you to fluidly adjust to what enemies do with spells youre likely already packing for certain pve fights. Another big thing i feel is that the gear is just copy pasted from mallus for the most part.
What you said between 9:07 and 9:56 really describes me as a PVE player. I don't want to have to learn this new gigantic amount of stuff just to survive the game. I'm not great at strategy but the standard game is easy - roshambo and any fights that use it aren't, and are just unpleasant to deal with. I've outright refused to do the nightmare dungeon a single time because it's way too complex and have just accepted being stuck with Aeon gear for the time being. What I will say is that I am a story person, so I love questing each world and getting to follow the dialogue and plot. Unfortunately I don't know a lot of other story people so we're probably the minority. For me, the thing that keeps me coming back is decorating in the game, because you can make the most insane awesome things, and that'll always be a reason for me to come back as long as they don't change a million more existing furniture items to no auction to monetize it to death (they seem to ignore us when we tell them the things we'd be willing to buy outright for crowns from a shop instead of gambling with the packs). But again, serious decorators are a minority, so from just a PVE standpoint, stop shoving roshambo down our throats please.

Pay walls should only apply to arc 2 and later anything in arc 1 should be free for everyone unless it involves gear for mid to high tier pvp that and is basically useless to pve players
I think a good way for PVE players to take more advantage of the update would be if we could learn the attacks that do our own school damage like a myth learning mythic mermaids which would gave way more incentive to go into weaving

Also if u flee from the 4 solo boss fights you have to do them over again. Plus spell weaving quests are sometimes not getting counted, and its still quite the grind. The update itself is still good, but yeah these bugs need to be issued now or people are gonna be pissed from first impressions.
Spell weaving feels like it’s heavily pvp focused. There are some things that seem usable for pve. But I think the main issue is that aoes primarily dominate in questing and since many areas in the game have been nerfed you could arguably cheese a lot of the game if you know what your doing with gear and pets
I hope in the future they add more spell fusions that are more viable for PvP and PvE. This is only the beginning of a new system and I’m optimistic they will do something cool for PvE in the future. The monofusions are a lot better for PvE and PvP than the spell weave fusions. Other than that I think the quality of life changes are great, krok revamp is nice, and Selenopolis is a beautiful world.

I agree!! Thank you for being a voice in the community!! I completed all the quests in selenopolis in 1 night. It made me so sad because I was actually hyped for new quests and storyline but it was too short imo. Even the spell weaving part made me disappointed. What the heck am I going to do with an entire new system that everyone is saying is not even good to use over what we already use in pve? I was excited for the “idea” of spell weaving but now I’m just heavily disappointed. I’m just overall confused about how to utilize the new system to my benefit for further questing and perhaps PvP when I get into it. It just seems like a waste of time and energy? Also, I got like 20-80 gold per quest in selenopolis??? Can’t they at least add more gold to the quest reward or something that makes players feel like they’re questing for a purpose. Selenopolis feels like a giant waste of time and energy. I’m highly disappointed and went in super excited tbh. Truly a flop. Great video. Great points. Hopefully the devs listen and take action (if even possible)

I just did one school on my death to get the 45 Blade because my death has side school storm. using the max crafted or farmed gear that combines Death and storm. It seems really good so I think it is worth taking a look at sometime. The bazaar? They destoyed it. I really want that part of the update out now I gotta click even more buttons or letters and not to mention they basically with the random timer thing thinking they will stop bots. NO. They made it even better for the bots since they can buy in half a second and everything your friend wanted to give you is gone and gone even faster now No one but a bot is going to wait 15 minutes to buy some reagents. Hence they made bot better than they were before and players suffer. A Degree from college does not make you qualified. It taught nothing but how to memorize or cop and paste from google. They fired Spark finally, One guy quit King Isle has no clue how to even play the game
So, my 2 cents here: The progression of the quests is confusing. My book is full of quests. Also, I wanted to weave ice on my myth. I could not beat the final Marleybone boss. I had to give up and weave into storm instead and was amazed at how easy it was. Why the difference? I'm sad because I really wanted that ice mino spell, but whatever. The grind is bearable if you just do it over time. By Christmas, one school, by spring the others
😂 quite wizard101 months ago never looked bacled ki ruined pvp by taking hella spells out, they dont listen to the community its wild and they still make u pay for wizardcity 😂 and youtubers like sauce just cry non stop but then slob the devs knobs
They are killing their game for their pride of “We are devs we are right deal with it”.. in there livestream they said we would be able to integrate this into pve but we can’t and it’s still the same old stuff. They have serious pride issues if their game had 2 people still playing they wouldn’t listen to them 😂
actually forgot to mention this but not 100%, ik for some schools their meta setups involve gold key boss gear like lambent and takanobu. but yes 90% of the time u need raids/packs to pvp
Spell weaving is pointless for PvE, they took away what was unique for balance, why would I do another school damage if all my gear stats boost my main school, if you were gonna do spell weaving for PvE AT LEAST let us do our school damage so our gear can boost us. And you know spell weaving was made for pvp since all the aoe spells are divided damage
LOL I knew the update was already gonna flop when it’s smaller than a full world, has no level cap increase, and most of the new spells are PvP related crap for mono and dual school fusion for a community that is mostly PvE oriented. The PvP community gets way too many damn updates and the PvE side is just f-cking neglected man. What ever happened to portal of peril? Remember that half baked idea of tourney tokens? They try to borderline force dual schooling only to make the spells and jewels for it damn near impossible to get by this weaving system? I’ll pass on that lost cause idea. The one thing this update did well was the mana quality of life update where it only costs 10 mana now to mark a spot and port compared to days of old. Everything is else is meh or bad. I guess the graphics are a nice much needed touch especially deaths newest Anubis spell goes hard. But gameplay wise is a massive L for their supposedly biggest update in the year which is always fall update. A let down if you ask me.
I mean you can, but it often feels like youre the only Person online on the whole server. The place is just deserted. (Largely because many people got lost in the whole server transition from gameforge to Kingsisle, because there is literally no advertising for the game at all and of course because they refuse to move the paywall) They should just merge it with US already instead bothering with translating all the Text (adding tons of Text glitches in the process) and releasing Updates way later then on US so all new content that you see takes at least a year to arrive on your game version...

i 100% agree, they advertise the update as 100+ new spells but it feels like 2 since we dont get the matching fusions either

Life weaving for balance gives 4 round aura of a balance prism and +30% buff....decent option imo
I like the update as well. If it takes a couple extra turns with duel schooling so be it. I think it’s fun

if your talking about assets not loading just look up how to quicklaunch wizard 101. its a quick fix for now but it's still very bad
