It took me 6 months to dress a xmas dolls house for my grandaughter 7.the house was 100 pound wood.and basic furniture in wood.so I glued a xmas tree in lounge all furniture I used xmas ribbon to glue on sofa and chairs and a runner for dining table.i made tiny presents in gold to go around the tree.in nursery my husband made 4 beds out of coffee stirrers and I made white pillows and a strip of sheet plus same xmas ribbon as a runner across the beds.i made tiny babies laid on each bed.i bought tiny tea lights placed magnet on ceiling and base of tea light so she can lift them down and switch on .in lounge I put glass beads on tea light making a chandeliers. They looked lovely lit up.i used bottle tops covered in thin rope for baskets.a small square of plastic from an orange bag to make it look like a mat on draining board.i bought tiny dishes to place on wooden dresser.i made red xmas cushions for sofa.then I put string lights on roof and bottom.made a reef to place on front door.it looked magical.i cut an old linen knapkin and pulled threads each side making 4 rugs.my son said she thought it was magical.in 2 weeks it was destroyed ??? By a 11 Yr old brother that ripped xmas tree up smashed tiny presents just broke it.he was grounded and his x box was given to his sister for 2 months.i would have smacked his butt.but hey she had that moment of magical joy.so who ever yours is for.i hope they enjoy and not destroy.thank you some great ideas uk
