We went last year. Had the beeeeessssst time. My kids loved it. Few weeks ago my daughter was looking at our Disney trip pics. She started crying because she wants to go back. We’re in texas
We are at POP too. The only damage we had near our room (90's Building) was a tree branch down, broken outside lights and sign down. Not as much flooding as we expected either

I don't know where you're getting your info, but Ian is not the worst hurricane to hit Florida. Glad you're safe.
The news was making it seem way worse than it was.
Guys 125 people died and they're still searching...Please. Have empathy or compassion. Please for the victims. Don't say this wasn't bad. That's a lie.
I stayed at All Star Sports during hurricane Irma in 2017. Even though we were on the second floor some water still came under the door. We were restricted to our room for 24 hours, then to the resort for another 24 hours. During that time we had Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale in the food court at breakfast. During it all we never lost power or the internet.
This storm is not the worst hurricane that hit Florida. Hurricane Andrew from 1992 was the worst.
Andrew had 65 deaths. Ian had 125 and still counting. The searches are still ongoing. Ian was undoubtedly historically bad.

Looking forward to seeing tomorrow's video and how it actually hits your area. Just left POP Tuesday. I'm in Sarasota area and it was bad enough here. Rained for 18 hours and some spots had 38 inches of rain. The winds were scary up to 65 mph here and are still hanging around today but much diminished. Hoping you didn't get hit too bad. The hurricane came ashore in Ft. Meyers. Prayers for all those down there. Much devastation.

FYI. Storm did not make landfall here near Tampa. Much further south and it has been devastating for those in its path(Sarasota,Fort Meyer … southeast of FL). Glad you stayed safe. Looks like Orlando had flooding

We are at Coronado Springs and Wednesday morning was a little crazy when everyone from the various “neighborhoods” around the resort came to the Grand Destino Tower for food. But Disney called an audible and opened up some of the restaurants for buffet breakfast and it all worked fine. It’s Thursday now and the lifeguards are walking around the hotel waiting for assignments. Some minor flooding but nothing serious. Staff are starting clean up outside. Maybe the pools will open tomorrow. We will see.
I've always heard that Disney brings out the characters to the resorts during emergencies - Great to KNOW that actually happens. This video series will hopefully bring comfort to those that plan trips and have it disrupted by Mother Nature. Not sure there are many vloggers out there that would have this experience - thank you so much for bringing it to us - but PLEASE be safe - I see you wont go hungry :-) Will be watching your insta / twitter accounts for frequent updates - You and the people of Florida are on our minds. As a fellow Wisconsinite who's lived in Nashville Tennessee for 23 years. I love how you said. "Dare I say it's cold out" you a my son's age. Clearly you don't remember what "COLD" Really is. 🤣 I grew up in Wisconsin. Since I moved south 25 plus year ago I have only been back home in the summer months. Even I remember what "Cold" is. LOL
Glad you had the essentials: Wine, snacks, and PB&J. Also want to give the Disney Employees props to all their hard work getting everything ready. The south western part of Florida looks to have been hit really hard when the eye of the storm hit. Wishing everyone the best from Cincinnati.

Stay safe. I rode out hurricane Michael and it was the scary the day of my life. Thoughts and prayers for yall and everyone in Florida. That being said I lived in Panama city for 15 years before michael and loved it.and been to Disney 3 times

When we would have bad storms roll in the country club I worked @ in college, we’d put all the outdoor furniture in the shallow end of the pool. Worked like a charm
As a Cape Coral resident, I fled to Orlando. Luckily everything that I have survived.

Disney prepared the best way they knew how & with what resources they had on hand. People are going to do what THEY want to do, just like the woman exercising in the rain, it’s her choice. Thank you Kyle for showing preparations & look forward to tomorrow’s vlog.
Are you kidding me lady? He literally lives 10 minutes from the parks and instead Supposed to take up space at a hotel that was meant for people who are displaced and had nowhere to go because the airports were closed! Disney employees volunteer their time and needed a place to stay but it was being taken over by these Disney bloggers that normally I enjoy watching but not during a massive hurricane when they use it for Clickbait and views in thumbs up and make it so much worse than it was so they can monetize their video and make money off the backs of people who are being displaced and killed during this horrible hurricane any and all proceeds made by these videos should go directly to some sort of charity that was destined to help all these people who actually lost their lives and their families in their homes not bloggers at Walt Disney World having fun claiming to be “trapped” at Walt Disney resort! The bottom line is these bloggers they took up space that wasn’t meant for them they could’ve stayed home! The hotels were meant for people who were displaced and employees put up there to to help out and then these vloggers go and eat the food there too When they even brought their own food make a new mistake this wasn’t done to show preparation for anything it was done for clicks views into make money. do you know any people died during this hurricane over 100 people died in the count is still going up and all these people lost their homes and their families and their livelihood but I guess lets praise a Vlogger for doing all the wrong things during a hurricane when they should’ve stayed home!!!

Here in Houston we used to have hurricane parties. During Carla way back in the 60's I remember sitting in trees, dangling our feet in the water. And grills going, trying to cook all the meet in everyones freezers before it went bad, then everyone in the neighborhood eating together.

Been staying at the Portofino at Universal since Sunday and all was fine . They moved some of the restaurants to the ballrooms and thankfully the bar has been open . Hoping park opens back up tomorrow/Friday 😎😎😎

Not necessarily true. Every hurricane is different from the last. Harvey hit Texas and it was all about the rain...40" of rain in SE TX in 24 hours
You could stay three weeks with all of that food.
Hard to believe I was there last week. I was at the Movie Resort. I ate pretty good. Just overnight oats and a 2 pack of hard boiled eggs every morning.
With either Vitamin Water or iced coffee in a refillable souvenir cup. Those cups are probably good for Hurricanes.

I was wondering how he extensions work. My brother was supposed to leave Wed but the flight was canceled. He coudn't get any other flights out and Disney wanted $2700 to extend the stay. Was he duped or is that the case? That has always been a fear that I would get caught up with out a place to stay.

Pop was our first Disney resort . I still love it 🥰 If you have to go through a Hurricane I’d like doing it Disney style for sure ! Thank you for showing us how this all will go it’s very informative. Your food supply looks really good 😊 Eat out until you can . Hey might as well use the pool and what you can until your in your rooms for awhile ya know ? Stay safe riding out the storm ⛈️

I'm going to say it: Disney can be a really class act. They did NOT price gouge and very likely only charged you "at cost" to them, and they get low, low prices for the bulk they buy. Disney clearly has the money to pay an excellent legal team to have a plan in place to mitigate injuries and the subsequent lawsuits they cause. Of course, there are going to be people on the first floor of just about any hotel.
I would DEF swim. No question. Plus, all those little ones need to be exercised to the point of exhaustion because they will sleep well and be better rested to stay inside once the storm hits Orlando.
I've heard from others, decades ago, that all Disney resorts really treat their guests well and really think ahead for rain, storms, earthquakes (in Cali), and even on their cruise ships. However, this is the first "video" footage of seen of just how good Disney is as pre-planning and really thinking these things through.
Every person I've known who went to a Disney resort where it rained (not even a hurricane), said they would definitely return because Disney gave them free Mickey Mouse rain ponchos, gave them free entertainment inside (when rides were shut down), and kept food prices reasonable (and we all know Disney's prices are usually very high).

I went to universal the day hurricane Ian was coming I rode the hulk and went to city walk and drove back to Sarasota fl lol. That splash was epic lol
