I mean, if you've been following Syntac for a while, all of these things are just par for the course. 😂 Man went through more gallimimus than the average Tarbosaurus in its lifetime when he was playing The Hunted Mod purely because of all of the risks he took, and each time he got a special tame in DOX he decided to piss off something that was even worse.🤣
The best part of Syntac’s content is the amount of videos he can create just from being distracted by other high level creatures and then finally make a whole video on the one creature he's been distracted from the entire time 😂
The minus crafting skill is because of the crafting skill potion + the corvus. The potion checks your starting crafting skill before it does its thing (which is 100% with 0 levels in crafting skill). It then moves all your points into crafting, and then moves them back afterwards, setting your crafting skill back to what it was before it applied its effects. You used the potion before picking up the bird, so it snapshot 100% as the starting value. It set it back to 100% after you ended the potion's effect, despite the bird still being on your shoulder. Removing the bird then reduced it below the minimum because it removes the bird's crafting skill (55.4%) from your base 100% (I checked the previous video, it was at 44.6% after crafting the mining drill, ending the effect and removing the bird). Doing this several times will keep reducing it lower and lower, because next time it takes the 44.6% as the starting value, and so on and so forth, eventually pushing it into the negatives, as has happened to you. I assume if dying doesn't work, you'll have to use a mindwipe tonic. To avoid this issue in the future, remove the bird before ending the potion's effects, or pick up the bird before using the potion.
So could this be abused and go the opposite direction? Pick up the bird, use a potion, toss the bird and end the potion for a positive gain in crafting skill? Lol. He could be able to do thst to get it back to where it belongs if possible
You know, for whatever reason, it took me until now, at exactly 4:04, to realize the subtle, but incredible advantage of the ludodactylus being able to swim... I've lost count of the number of times I've accidentally gotten too close to the water with a flyer (usually while trying to maneuver to check something with my spyglass without a head, wing, or tail covering my view), only to get dismounted and desperately try to get out of the water far enough to let me remount my hovering flyer, sometimes with various aggressive sea creatures trying to eat my legs off, oftentimes resulting in me mounting and immediately dis-mounting multiple times due to spamming the button in an effort to catch the tiny window where the "mount" prompt appears. 😩

it's the bleed that you're thinking of that got removed. when they added bleed to the megalodons, the wild ones became too overpowered, so it got removed from wild ones.
One of the more memorable memories for me is when syntac lost silk weaver in the volcano and was forced to watch him be ravaged by a ton of magmasaurs, he didn't even have time to grieve because the volcano started erupting. Also when ASA releases it would be cool if there a tribute to syntacs many years of playing ark, all the bases, the funny random moments. Especially the bases, as I feel each base plays a memorable part in a series as it's the most common area I will quickly become familiar with in a series

I believe that the Megalodons still have pack bonus in vanilla. I could be wrong, been a long time since I have played unmodded myself. I believe that the change they made to Megalodons is just that they don't do the bleed when untamed now, unlike how they did when they were first dropped.
Megalodons can actually pretty good tames with the pack bonus. I roam the oceans with 3 unmutated Megs and they do 1.500 damage plus bleed with 120 max level. You can even oneshot every cnidea before it hits you. I also do the caves with them

i had no idea so many other people loved bary's, too!! my first "big" carnivore tame on ark was a bary named pepper who sadly got demolished by jellyfish BUT ever since, they've been my fave

there is an underwater cave on this map but theres very few creatures inside so if you and the boys just stock up on harpoons and nets and try to not die you could probably do it
I did find a Hydra that spawned on the beach near the volcano/redwoods boarder. Scared the crap outa me when I heard it’s screech! Watched it fighting a glitched out 145 Alpha Mosa for a bit before I left.
I surfed off Padre Island for years. I saw many Hammerheads. They are NOT small! Several that were caught while I was surfing bob hall pier were 12' When at shore I stood next to a thing that was taller than me. They are HUGE!
God just imagine how dangerous and a massive pain in the ass a pure water Map would be(Genesis doesn't count). And finally a Barry has been acquired! Now for Syntac to put his master eugenics skills to work! And sweet the Deinosuchus got my name suggestion!

good thing garuga provides the option to disable the wild floppy fish from grabbing you. with how often they just mesh you, its very annoying to get grabbed.

The wild sharks used to have bleed and they removed that because it was too OP with the pack bonus. Pack bonus was never removed, just the bleed

Spinos can be great for boss fights, just know that it can be tough for an army of them to fit in the portal area
