Can we stop pretending that someone is an authority on this shit just because he was a seal? How can he say a bunch of vets can't stand up to a large force when the largest military in the world has been dick punched by illiterate insurgents with a working knowledge of explosives and guerrilla warfare in just about every large scale war since Korea?

    • @frogmantactical
      @frogmantactical  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

Can we stop pretending a kid on the internet who has zero experience has a clue on anything?
Vets are a small number. They cannot withstand a large force nor does the word veteran mean weapon specialist. Most can’t even load a firearm kiddo.

@frogmantactical sounds like "frogman" is butthurt. Explain the besandled goat fuckers who sent us home humiliated in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc. You have a very naive point of view. Surely, someone with a moniker like "frogman" should have some idea about the effectiveness of determined insurgencies.

    • @trevorholliday7020

Hey, froggy, use your infinite depth of experience to explain why we are consistently being humiliated by besandled civilians. For someone with a moniker like "frogman" you seem painfully uninformed about asymmetrical warfare.

@@frogmantactical I read a lot of history, have no military experience myself, and have relatives overseas in the IDF. So keep that in mind as you read my comment. From what I have read, ammunition supply and logistics are going to be more important in any long-term engagement between a civilian populace and their government. If you run out of bullets or have no way of getting more to the areas where they are needed all the firearms in the world become no better than a baseball bat.
In 1775, the patriots surrounded Boston for 11 months but had no way to capture Boston and force them to leave even after Washington was appointed general in July of 1775. It took Henry Knox traveling 180 miles in the dead of winter to bring 60 tons of cannon and much-needed gunpowder from Fort Tiochndra which finally enabled the patriots to force the redcoats out of Bostin in March of 1776.
When Israel declared independence they were invaded by 7 countries. They had been able to acquire many surplus Eastern Bloc rifles but had a shortage of ammunition for many of them. They built a secret underground ammunition facility and created the logistics needed to get the ammunition where it needed to go.
If the United States devolves into a civil war in my lifetime, I would envision that nearly every retail gun store is going to run out of ammo really quick. The US Army's Lake City Ammunition plant can produce 1.4 billion rounds of ammunition a year. Of what calibers I have no idea but they have 9 of those plants and then 5 more storage facilities.
Anyway, you are a trained military expert, so I would appreciate your opinion on this topic and possible solutions. Either via a written response or by making a video to address it.
Thank you for your time. Love your videos.

@trevorHolliday7020 As opposed to what....listening to YOU? What's your training? Have you been to war? Are you a politician? Do you have in depth knowledge of firearms and firearm safety and preparedness? Have you been faced against a large force of any kind? If you have, then get over yourself and grow up and accept reality. If you haven't? Then be silent and let the adults discuss serious topics.

The Spartans employed a tactic of putting new guys next to veterans called the reed and staff, believing that both men would fight harder, the new guy to prove his worth and the veteran to be extra vigilant knowing his battle buddy is green. Steven Pressfield’s “Gates of Fire”

I’m an old man today, I’m not as strong as I once was, I don’t have the same level of endurance, I haven’t trained at USMC levels for decades, but my understanding of battlefield movement is still crystal clear, I have been in firefights and my reactions have been proven, and lastly I’m still the same miserable bastard at heart that I’ve always been. The enemy wouldn't have a chance.Even if they hit us from 5 different points they would be run over by pure POWER!!! Gentlemen, this video, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is the absolute BEST video I've ever seen. I am 66 and never was in the service nor LE but, I do feel that I would be of some value to the freedom cause. Yes, I would be taken out early (I get that) but, like the one guy said, I could take out at least 2 of the bad guys. I, too, have been stocking up with supplies and armament to keep me and my family and my neighborhood safe(r). I would love for you ex-military to know that we, the untrained, want to help as much as we can in any capacity as we can. We, too, are Americans first. Uneducated and untrained in the military ways but, have the American heart. Pray to God we don't need to defend our country that way (although it looks more and more likely) but, I would hope that you folks would help and allow us folks be of some service. Thank you all for what you said in this video. It really meant a ton and that you believe we common folk would be worth something. I have been struggling with this in that I know very little compared to friends and family that have been in LE or the military. I AM and AMERICAN, damn it! And, I plan to die that way. We need people to first accept that something like this can happen in the US. Unfortunately a large percentage of the population won't wake up until it's happening to them. Then we have the people who don't understand that in such a situation they'd need to be willing to go mobile. I have friends who think they're going to fortify their homes in the suburbs and hold out for months or years. All it takes is an enemy setting the neighborhood on fire to end that. We need more people to see themselves as fighters and defenders in a situation like this. If anyone doesn't understand why they might need an AR-15 at this point, IDK what to say.

Hibernianson left TH-cam and Mainprepper has a TBI and could no longer function, God Bless him. They were both career military with proven combat experience and interacted with us with every video. They taught those of us that never served in military TONS of valuable information. And now, when we need them most we in the prepper community are struggling to find someone willing to share this knowledge. You guys even said it yourself. In modern history we have never seen a higher threat level in America, and it's only getting worse. I'm a former LEO but that means NOTHING. My father was 23 years EOD but he retired in 89. But I still learned tons about explosives and ordnance. But we don't know tactics, strategies etc for civilian home, retreat defense. LRP, CQB, area Denial from vehicles and other technicals. From what I seen from your videos you are of like mind and overly qualified to instruct us. Or guide us in the right direction. Please. So many topics to cover for a post-collapse environment. Like Salvaging, defense, recruiting refugees, so on and so forth. Sorry for the long winded reply. I am just kinda begging you or some people with your quals will be willing to help educate us. Self-defense, with deadly force if necessary, is a moral obligation. You won't find that in the new testament because it doesn't exist (I searched for it). You find the parable of the guarded house by the strong man Luke 11 vs 21 (which is talking about guarding spiritual assets, not physical humans and assets), and selling your cloak to buy a sword (Luke 22 vs 36, that is not talking about a physical sword; it is talking about a spiritual sword to defend against the devil's work, the sword being a strong foundation in the "Word of God"). When Peter used his sword to defend the Jesus character in the story, Jesus chastised him and healed the servant of the high priest that tried to arrest him. "Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword" (Matt 26 vs 52) is what he said to him.
The bible tells you to forgive enemies over and over again or else the Christian will not get into heaven and be forgiven. Even judging them in their actions to destroy you is verboten according to the bible. "Judge not lest ye be judged" (Matt 7 vs 1-3)
Who are enemies? At least we get to determine who they are, because it is pretty obvious to me. They are Hamas, fitful violent communists, carjackers, rioters, armed robbers, home invaders, thieves, rapists, child molesters, murderers, muggers, and people that beat others up because they have the wrong skin color. Those are all my enemies. Nowhere and noway can forgiveness, compassion and mercy be coupled with potentially deadly self-defense. You don't destroy people you love, and those who love you back don't attempt to destroy you either.
In fact, it tells you in two different verses (Matt 5 vs 44, and Luke 6 vs 27-35) to "Love your enemies." There is no enacted love in defending yourself from enemies. Even calling the cops would be off limits if the bible is to be used as instruction on how to deal with enemies. Love is an action verb, and it means to sacrifice some of your resources to someone you care about and to enact mercy. Mercy literally means to enact less justice than what the offender deserves and to give your enemies clemency (kindness and forgiveness). I have no care for enemies, no compassion and no love either; and it doesn't make sense to enact any kind of compassion for someone that is doing their best to destroy you or yours or take everything you have. I offer violent enemies zero clemency, because that move cannot withstand the slightest scrutiny.
I don't hate enemies either. If hate is an action verb, then it would mean to enact some disproportionate cruelty to the enemy, like destroy or torture his innocent children because of his actions to you and your family or friends (kind of like how Hamas did to Israelis over religious hate compulsions)
This is yet another clue to know how we can easily tell the bible is not a guide to morality. It is a guide to moral confusion and hesitancy when it comes to dealing with enemies. The Word only promises to enact violent, forever "justice" to those who question all the nonsensical claims (blasphemy) in the bible with no lessons learned. The only unforgivable sin is blasphemy, not murder or even genocide. Lastly, all of these post-death justice and post death rewards claims are all unfalsifiable claims, so we can dismiss them without evidence.
It's about time we as Americans start thinking in common sense instead of this bewitchment with confusing and nonsensical dogma.

I wasn't able to serve due to issues I had at birth.
But my dad was a a Ranger till he died in 89. He taught me alot at a very young age.
After he died a few guys from his unit took me under their wing. So i've learned alot and I think he would be very proud that I've trained with some of his guys and they continue to look out for me.
Once I became an adult I sought out as much training and skills as I could find and afford.
I have attended a handful of weekend training courses from multiple sources.

As much as I'd like to close width and destroy my enemy, being in a small town of less than 1000 people, its best for me to opt for a defensive position/plan with my available assets and connections. I have been on the brink of contacting the mayor to legally establish a plan of defense for my town if needs be!

I honestly feel like had I been in any area of the military, I'd start teaching basic stuff asap free. The more who can move together the correct way stand a better chance, people can't afford the prices for training, that I've seen people charge is not helping anyone. It's not possible for the vets to be everywhere and handle it all and the equipment alone is high and then you add being a single mom of two teenagers and that's even harder without any type of help. So the more people in my opinion who can get to learning asap the better we'll all be. I've watched numerous videos of clearing houses and when to use a flashlight and how long keeping it on etc. These basic things are going to overwhelm the average people massively and then throw in no phone, no cigs or whatever they like and top it off with people witnessing murdering people who are the actual enemies is going to shut people down and have them make irrational decisions. The dreams I've had is my home and sisters(lives down the road) being burned down and I had long sleeves on. I saw black/blue kinda uniform camo looking stuff on chynaaa people. The cold soulless eyes I'll never get out of my head, even though I haven't actually seen it yet. I popped up at one point in the dream looking for them and the shot me dead between my eyes and I woke up tasting blood. For hoursssss. Scared the actual crap out of me bc no one near me will listen and get prepared and try and help buy some stuff with me. Instead my family gives away my preps and uses everything like I'm just buying it. Bc I've cried since I was 11 about a home fire and didn't know how or when, I already know I'm probably going to lose everything anyways so it doesn't bother me but it's hard alone and almost a guaranteed death sentence so people not training or seeing what people lack in is absolutely going to end bad and be the reason we get our butts handed to us. Good luck to all and my prayers are with the mom's and dad's and men who will have to witness what happens to us females and some men. Everything was burnt like Maui so whatever caused that is what I saw. They had tanks here too already some how

The routine stuff is important just as lock and tag, shutting down and starting up of equipment is. One man can't do it all. There is always stuff that the less experienced person can do that will free up the more experienced person.

Some useful info here and I must admit - I'm lucky. My neighborhood is by and large local PD, SWAT and active duty or retired DoD with a lot of SF/SOF (I live in a rural neighborhood within 30-60 minutes of a large base + NSA - sat comm sec - presence). The PD, SWAT & SF/SOF vet neighbors & I have had the "by the BBQ" discussions around, "what if." That said, civilian neighbors or even some of the AD families that aren't in direct combat MOS roles look at us like we're crazy when we try to coalesce outside our circle. We few, have a plan that - God willing - we'll never need. But I really wish people of all stripes - AD, civvy, etc. - would take their own security more seriously. There's zero harm in planning; there's a potential world of hurt in being underprepared.

Nothing crazy basic safety malfunction clearing maintenance. Then basic shooting. The oldest is able to pick one up one in an unknown condition and check it and use it. He not clearing rooms or nothing crazy but he would be able to defend his house and protect his younger brothers if his mother and father are not home. I believe in self reliance and it can’t be taught to young. And my wife thinks I’m crazy because have an escape plan for our home and our town county and state. I’m too old and slow to run and gun. But I can evade and escape. And I can shoot and have a knack for teaching others to shoot. And I’m an industrial maintenance technician so I’m pretty handy also. It’s going to take us all to over come it. And as far as going to door. You enter my home at your own risk during those times.

Re Home Defense vs Defending the Country ("Taking it to the streets"): 1st you will secure your home. Next you will defend your territory (neighbors -> neighborhood). Once those are Secure, you will have at least some time to organize your community, keeping a local force to defend, and a patrol force to fight. The Idea is to secure what you have, expand that as you can and retake any land lost, eventually joining other communities using the same perimeter sequence . If everyone is in the streets, your home is not protected. If everyone is home, your community is not protected.
TIP#1: Develop a plan for meeting once home invasions have been thwarted. Choose the best location to defend out of your 5-10 man team. Have a similar HQ in mind for teams to meet and form your troop and patrol. If possible, choose a larger centrally located brick/block structure with height and visibility that is defendable.
Tip#2 Help other neighbors build teams. Invite areas within your neighborhood to an instructional "range day" and have an array of self defense weapons available and a friendly competent instructor lead a "show & shoot". Keep the groups small and ask your range if they will allow you to promote their range or pick a location central to community neighborhoods. Start by inviting those in the perimeter of your neighborhood and work inward. Have a map available for attendees to understand potential threats, direction of probable attack, weaknesses, and of course the HQ location and daily meet up time (noon after skirmish day1 for example).
Our biggest issue is Not being able to communicate such matters in a secure manner. This will have to be word of mouth.
Tip#3 select a radio frequency that can be picked up on most handheld two-ways fir initial comms (167.2? Works on Chan 16 walkie talkies as well as shorthand. Start there until every team has upgraded. Select a freq for your hood and assign one to surrounding hoods using an easy formula to make it memorable (175.2 + 2.5 for each area) More advanced comms and be broadcast on more secure frequencies.

Thank you for another amazing video!! For some additional context for gun ownership, the vast majority of Israeli civilians are unarmed, and those that are only have access to 9mm handguns outside of specific situations. For their unpreparedness, it is quite a coup because the majority of their experienced forces were rotated out for a religious holiday and many of those who were both on patrol and in reactive positions for the Gaza border were understaffed and underexperienced, many of whom were still in training.

Running while reloading to cover (without over running), shooting under a car bumper (cover) after tipping your cap back or off to clear vision. Hostage no-shoot, ranges from 3 to 20 yards, moving targets, Weak hand only stages in case of injury. The occasional clay pigeon (drone)... Safe firearm proficiency that allows the brain to concentrate on shoot/no shoot because the mechanics are in muscle memory. And good people having FUN. Just out of curiosity, when did Israel start disarming civilians? I ask this because back in the late 80's when I was in high school as well as when I was in the service in the 90's I recall the Israeli population was armed in fact they were incuraged to be, given the fact that every citizen had been in the military at one time due to mandatory service. Also while in the service I did some some work with former IDF members, and they even told me most people in Israel had guns especially in their homes, so when did that change?

  • @buddhaweatherby368

As a vet, I am all for civilians becoming skilled and getting the tools to defend themselves and their families/communities, as long as they are also developing a strong and inclusive protector ethic. The idea that military/LE/vets have a monopoly on defensive capabilities is a non-starter for me.
I live in a place where a 911 call may take over 30 minutes before I get any official governmental response to my home, or the homes of my neighbors. Lots of people are in similar situations. I want my neighbors to be capable of protecting and providing for themselves. Self-reliance is a multi-faceted concept for me. Things could have been very different in Israel if the folks on that border had been better prepared to defend themselves and that is just one simple and recent example.

I couldn't join the military because I have diabetes. No branch would allow me in. It's that my fault? No. Does that mean I can't be just as battle ready simply because I didn't serve? No. It frustrated me when military and/or former military just assume that.

16 million out of a country of 370 million… We as a nation all need to answer the call, or reliance on the 5% (most of which were not operators or even combat experienced) would amount to little more than “a wing and prayer”.
If you haven’t trained, start. If you’re training now, keep it up. Include hand to hand training. While not the ideal when the enemy shows up with actual firearms, it’s valuable for physical and mental preparedness.
Like others who’ve posted here, I believe that if we all communicate with neighbors (some who might even be combat veterans) and coordinate training we can make the enemy pause when they encounter more resistance than they expect.

Escaping accountability is probably why the world is going in the direction that is going because the richest and most powerful people in the world have realized that the masses are waking up and that accountability for them means death so its all or nothing. If you knew accountability for you meant death, what would you be willing to do? If you look at it from their perspective, they're probably s**ting their pants and know that time is running out.

NJ only allows 10 rounds per mag, have to carry more for sure. How should one plan an ammo load without the weight being an issue?

    With all respect guys.
Please, if ex-military send there family's for training. Understand their fears and inexperience.
We are spending food money to arm family's.
    It's tough with inflation.
    Thank you for these videos.

New sub here, I've watched a couple videos and have been lately theory crafting what I would do to help defend my home if a home invasion happened to me but the problem is I'm short like 5'5 and 140lbs and lastly I have had life long lung disease so even though I work out to build muscle I have almost no stamina or endurance so would you suggest I do to not be a total burden to others.

Take the money you would have spent on trying to become a super soldier and use it to secure your home. There are no good outcomes in any home invasion. I don't care how well trained and armed you think you are, you're in a disaster the second someone breaks in. You can be killed, injured for life, which also means bankruptcy, as no one else will step up to care for you if you're paralyzed. You could be prosecuted for exercising self defense, even if you thought you did everything right. If you're very good and/or lucky, you might prevail and "only" end up with PTSD.
None of these things can happen if you don't have a home invader, and a home invasion cannot happen if the criminal cannot breach your home.

Please don't make yourself a wash out if you encounter a home invasion. Increase the areas you can to allow you more time or gather family to a safe room. Fighting with armed forces will never go as planned imho. Use other sources to help make up for your disabilities. Its not the dog in the fight, but the fight in the dog as they say.
I'd increase your security cameras outside n inside. Don't tell people what you are doing nor tell family members not living with you. If shtf, which is increasingly likely. Our ability to protect our home n families should be number one objective. Buy gear you want to master, beforehand. ITT PVS14 Gen 3plus would be a great asset imho. Mount it to a helmet rig with a Wilcox G24 mount n you'll fall in love with its capabilities. I personally don't think a 5.56mm be used as a home gun, as it will undoubtedly go through walls your family may be placed in. 12ga shotgun #1. Run different scenarios for training purposes with unloaded guns. Make sure you carry a extensive med pouch n a large group bag at a safe place. Every American should be getting prepared for veryyy rough days ahead of us. Things are NOT LOOKING GOOD throughout the world. Your Gov't won't save you nor will they protect your families. That's our own responsibility n you best get ready, as it could happen extremely fast.

I'm almost at 2000 yards with my long range rifle . I'm still trying to get out further I use a 338 Lapua . what is better not including 50 caliber and would body armor be useful for a shooter taking his Target at those ranges

Hey guys, newcomer here. Can y’all explain why your IFAKs are in the small of your back?
The reason I ask is because from a CoTCCC perspective, this makes no sense. In order to access your IFAK, I’d have to put you in the recovery position, which is not done until tactical field care. In care under fire, you are forcing me to use my own IFAK to help you because your likely sitting or laying on your own.

I think the mindset is to have it accessible for either hand in case one hand becomes inoperable. Front of the body would be an option, but that's primarily reserved for magazines and secondary weapons accessibility. Another thing to keep in mind is you are assuming your patient has a fully stocked IFAK. What if they didn't put their tourniquet in it or had already used it on someone else? I know where mine is and would be much more likely to use it in an emergency than go fishing for one on my patient in the hopes that they have one.

@@englitob you will be unable to access specific items from your IFAK blindly from your back
it’s the team medics priority to ensure that every member of the team has a stocked IFAK (cco&i)
Individuals do not use their own IFAK for another individual on the team.
The proper placement of an IFAK is on the center of the chest or at waist level to the opposite side of the firing hand.
Having equipment in the small of your back is very dangerous and increases the risk of a broken spine or tailbone in the event you are thrown onto your back.
