Great tips, have you ever came across a dodger that despite your best efforts just won't bend? it just springs back to its original shape? I've had a few and I get rid of them because of that. lol

Yes I have and they may have been made of material that was too thick. Try the Dodgers from TNKTackle.com and you should eliminate that problem.

Yes often they are made of brass.

Thanks for the video. How do you determine what colors you are using and do you coordinate the the dodger color and your lure colors? (Or contrast them?)

Would u say flatter for higher speeds and more bend for slower speeds? Im going to use them for spring coho on yhe great lakes but we run 2.0-2.5 mph would u say it should be fairly flat?

You are correct. Dodgers should not be over 2 mph because at 1.8 they can start to spin... so flat is best at that speed. I use chain swivels to reduce line twist.

I recently purchased one of your side swipe lures, it has three line guide/holes at the top. How do you normally run the leader through them?

We run the line on the under side of the swipe. Come from under the top side, down under (the less colorful side) then up and back down. The two holes at the top are close together to slow down the sliding down the line. Thanks for asking! Tight lines!
