I used to think this was an unwinnable matchup for Amsa. Him pushing Armada to an almost game 5, has me convinced that he can pull it off. What a great set!!
18:54 Fendy: "Having a kill throw must be so nice" Wobbles, inventor of the infamous Ice Climber 'wobble' grab-to-kill setup: "Yeah I wonder what that's like"
Does anyone else feel like this looks doable for him in the next 1-2 times that they play? He went from looking like he had no chance against Armada, to at least being able to win on his counter-pick, to looking like he could have forced a game five. The rate that aMSa has shown improvement this year is staggering tbh.
I think amsa was really focusing on his hbox matchup and he took it. This is definitely the next step he is looking for and if he can do it that just keeps melee alive and I believe in it.
Another stitch at 23:06. Btw stitch actual rates are 1/58 roughly not 1/250 and 1/15 for dot eye. Other rates of items are 1/768 for beam sword, 2/768 for bomb-omb and 3/768 for Mr. Saturn
3:14 But it still does force an extra step and that’s honestly, that’s like number one thing in a lot of edgeguarding, in a lot of anti-combo, DI, almost everything, just make them take an extra step man. Every extra point of failure is a chance for you to escape, survive, and make a come back.
I think, amsa didn't really played completly lame here. I Guess if he plays more like the last tournements, he would have done better, because this was not his top form. I was missing some thinks AND: he just ate too much downsmashes from armada

He sure can. (Well not against Amanda but in general)

he didnt invent it
Pyromanteion oh oops, who did? I mean, it's called "wobbling" so I figured it was his trademark
Mahkram Saile He didn’t invent it, but he did popularize it. Ken coined the term
The most wholesome matchup in all of Competitive Melee.
A guy who just wants to save his favorite game vs a guy who can to be everyone's friend.
This isn't aMSa vs Axe though...
aMSa was so close to taking two games off of Armada in a set. That would've been even more hype. Props to aMSa for holding his own.
4 years later wins big house and Apex
10:15 that chase from aMSa was sick
18:07
20:18 - 20:50 aMSa is INSANE

Amsa could make Kirby viable
lol I wouldn't stretch that far. No amount of black magic, not even a wish from the 7 Dragon Balls could make Kirby competent in this game XD
Coldfacekiller ColdFire if your only saying that because you think yoshi is bad your an idiot
dave longsdorf shh
For once, the likes and dislikes on the video didn’t spoil who won, wowzers
It Is funny to see Peach and Yoshi throwing turnips and eggs to each other, like if they were defending a base xD

Hes got Mango to game 5 twice. Technically he already beat him even though it was a one game set.
yeah, about that...
This is was a great set. I was rooting for aMSa but Armada is just too good. Props to both players.

such a tense ending and armada still being able to read the final bair coming
summonedfist more of a reaction not a read
+Justin Macrae fair, I only say read cuz the 3-5 other interactions that stock were really different from armada.

You came back 3 years later
This set was hype as fuck at the end and had my heart racing holy fuck.
10:11 absolutely crazy by amsa

The first game was just a projectile war.

La pelea más aburrida es la de estos dos oportunistas 🤣
