Out of curiousity, were you planning on making each Engine more unique by giving them individual heraldry markings such as stripes and chequers? I think that would make them pop more in a Maniple, and certainly more realistic...
I liked the green wash you put on over the green color. At first I thought the green armor color looked a bit to off but the wash brought it into line and made it look nice. I have been looking for a easy color scheme for this legio because I plan on building a small force, two to three maniples.
